USVI/BVI Series: The Return of the USVI/BVI's
It’s time to talk about the Caribbean!
WLMS Charters has had quite a number of charters in the USVI/BVI’s this winter. Our guests have been very happy with their holidays and loved being in the islands! If you’re considering a charter but are uncertain on how the islands are faring, here’s some information for the ongoing rebuilding process of this remarkable region. The people of the USVI/BVI’s worked extremely hard after the hurricanes last fall and in November they welcomed guests back to the islands. I’ve compiled some links for more updated information and live webcams to see for yourself.
BVI Traveller- a great guide to life in the islands post-hurricane. Find out if your favorite bar or restaurant is open…updated photos and more!
Virgin Island Profession Charter Association published this video March 2018- DEFINITELY worth watching...
The Soggy Dollar live webcam will remind you to head to the islands- it’s BEAUTIFUL!!
St John Spice, Cruz Bay USVI has their live webcam up. One of my favorite shops- stop in when visiting, it’s a great place to shop!
Or, listen to our guests!
‘…With [Mandy’s] vote of confidence we travelled [to St Thomas and through USVI/BVI] and met our charter the last week of March and can say what a memorable experience it was. First the people there have been resilient and in a short time made huge strides to recover. The snorkeling, diving/reefs, many businesses and restaurants, beaches and water were incredible. Crowds were few and though not what the islands want to see it was a surreal experience to have a lot of the locations all to ourselves. If you are planning to visit...GO! …’

AND… check back for more information soon because Mandy is headed to Tortola, BVI and St Thomas, USVI! She will be at The Spring boat shows with little stops along her route to check out life in the islands and many new boats in the charter fleet. As she visits the Caribbean every 6 months to tour the region and get first hand experience on the available boats, she’s a wealth of knowledge on charters in the Caribbean!
