DESTINY III is a Leopard 46 luxury sailing catamaran designed for blue-water cruising. This performance cat will get you where you want to go in a hurry. Built in South Africa by Robertson and Caine, she was designed by Gino Morelli and Pete Melvin to cruise in comfort. The 25’ beam on DESTINY III creates voluminous interior space. In the main saloon, the large banquette table with U-shaped seating comfortably accommodates the entire charter party for snacks, meals and board games. Open the large sliding doors from the salon to the cockpit to create one vast, social space. A hardtop that extends out over the cockpit from the saloon offers protective, cooling shade. This is where guests enjoy dining al fresco at the large table with seating for eight, cool sea breezes and panoramic views. This is also a favorite spot for shade-lovers to relax with a beverage while underway. For sun worshippers, nothing beats riding up front on the huge trampoline. DESTINY III accommodates six guests in three queen-berth cabins. Each cabin is en suite, with separate shower stall and electric toilet. Cabins are air conditioned and opening hatches and portholes provide good ventilation. DESTINY III is an excellent option for couples, friends and families who want to experience the Bahamas. Captain Seth traded the fast-paced life of New York City for the freedom of the open sea, finding his true calling in the waters of the Bahamas and the Florida Keys. His sailing journey began with catamaran deliveries and snorkeling adventures, eventually leading him to extensive time aboard Destiny III with renowned sailor Captain Dave Calvert.

In June 2023, Seth and his crew embarked on an epic 6,000-mile voyage, delivering a friend’s catamaran from North Carolina across the Atlantic to Gibraltar, then onward through the Mediterranean to Türkiye. Along the way, they often reeled in fresh Mahi and Tuna, refining Seth’s passion not just for the ocean, but for providing guests with incredible fresh seafood—both caught and prepared to perfection. Now, as the full-time captain of Destiny III, he brings adventure, expertise, and an eye for unforgettable experiences on every charter.

Chef Danielle was born and raised in the Florida Keys, where island life and the sea shaped her love for fresh, vibrant cuisine. Growing up in the kitchen alongside her mother—who ran a premier wedding catering business in Islamorada—Danielle developed a passion for gourmet cooking and exceptional hospitality.

Carving her own path, she successfully launched and sold a wedding planning business, as well as other ventures in fashion. Her extensive travels around the world further refined her culinary style, inspiring a fusion of global flavors with the fresh, local ingredients of the Bahamas.

Now aboard Destiny III, Danielle blends her expertise in hospitality and cuisine to craft unforgettable dining experiences. From just-caught seafood to beautifully plated gourmet meals, her dishes celebrate the flavors of the islands with creativity and finesse. Whether it’s a beachside picnic, a sunset dinner, or a casual lunch between snorkeling and fishing excursions, Danielle ensures every meal is as memorable as the adventure itself.

Together, Seth and Danielle create the ultimate sailing experience—seamlessly blending adventure, relaxation, and incredible cuisine. From morning snorkeling and deep-sea fishing to breathtaking sunsets and five-star meals under the stars, every moment aboard Destiny III is designed to be unforgettable. They especially enjoy family charters, Danielle has two sons aged 15 and 17, and they love to share the beauty of the Bahamas with so much to discover.

Here are our selections for you to choose from. We can cook many more and anything you request or would like to substitute, and as long as the ingredients are available in the Bahamas! Vegetarian, Pescetarian, Vegan and other dietary needs welcome, we can change menu items accordingly.

Please note that many foods (for example gluten-free or kosher) are not available in the Bahamas. However, you may bring them for us to prepare.

Graham, Liz and I had an amazing time!! We were all correct, losing the captain and getting Dave and Trish Calvert was definitely a blessing. Captain Dave has so much knowledge and experience not only of the Bahamas but the extraordinary accomplishments he has done as a Captain are truly remarkable. We truly enjoyed our time with them. The Bahamas have got to be the most beautiful place on earth. We both want to thank you for all your care throughout the entire process. Hey Captain Thanks so much for your kind words. Last night at dinner we reviewed all the fantastic moments spent on destiny. Kids were so appreciative and said they really had a blast with you. Your humour and positive attitude, the fantastic food, the sense of adventure and the opportunity to relax were just a few of the points raised. Pipi boy and Thomiiii did not stop talking about all these wonderful moments with you two. Siobhan is a great addition to your team. She is so kind and devoted. You two make a great team. We are now trying not to compare our little hotel to the luxury of your catamaran so the wonders of the Bahamas keep on living. Soon we shall be back in the less exciting world of Nassau and Switzerland… but memories remain for ever and in German there is a saying that goes like this: in life you always meet good people twice. Aug 7-11 2020 The Keys Once in a lifetime trip
Feedback for CA Best memory? There are so many. Everybody’s favorite memory was when Captain Dave pulled out his guitar and we did a little jam session/open mike and we did a little bit of adlibbing. Capt Dave is a phenomenal guitar player. Joe and Steve took turns making up lyrics singing in blues style about being on the Destiny three, we called it the Marathon blues. We could not stop laughing! Best snorkeling site? Most of the main reefs were over packed, so he took us on ones that were less packed, we went on three different trips and they just got better every single time. They were all phenomenal, Captain Dave definitely knows where to go. Best activity? Feeding the tarpon, snorkeling and eating. Chef Steve is amazing. They both made the trip very fun and personable. Best things about your crew? They were very personable, but also gave you space and time with your family when needed. We had dinner aboard every night which was awesome. Dave helped us with the excursions and directed us on things that he thought would be fun for our family. The food was incredible, our first dinner was the mahi-mahi which was everyone’s favorite. They both treated us as though we were family from the beginning to the end. Dave knew so much about the different areas history and culture which was impressive. Anything special to mention? It was more than any of us could have ever imagined! This was by far a once in a lifetime trip. And thank you to Captain Dave and Steve for making it so memorable
November 2018 - So Much Fun!!
We have traveled by personal airplane to all the major Islands in the Bahamas and even rented power cats in the Abacos but we always wanted to go to Conception Island. It is just south of Cat Island but is only accessible by boat. Dave and Trish were great, they even let us bring our small dog along that played well with their dog Gigi. It was an unforgettable excursion into a large creek full of turtles, fish and conch in beautiful clear blue waters. Not to mention the multiple beaches, the birds, and the walks in this uninhabited natural reserve we even saw a cool fresh water well. Dave parked the boat so we could snorkel right off the back of it which we did multiple times. It’s a protected marine and land park which might be the reason I saw some of the largest fish I have ever seen in the Bahamas grouper, trigger fish, even a large black fin tuna plus a few harmless nurse sharks. We also got to snorkel another spot by dingy that had some of the largest and most colorful coral fans I have ever seen. Dave is an expert sailer and sail-maker of beautiful carbon fiber sails and has intriguing stories to tell. I must have asked a thousand questions about sailing and he really enjoyed explaining it all. He will even let you help out as much as you like. Sailing a power at was way cool. Trish his wife is fun and entertaining . The boat was super roomy and very clean. The meals were great. If you have a chance it is a trip of a lifetime
Family trip in Bahamas 25-29 October 2018
What a wonderful time we had with you aboard Destiny II. It was planned as a research trip but turned into so much more - a fabulous vacation that allowed us all to reconnect as a family. It is clear that you worked super hard before the charter to pull everything together, which is greatly appreciated. Thank-you for doing such a great job of showing us the Islands, we really packed so much in during the five days with multiple stops per day, (but still plenty of beach time) - thank-you Matthew for your endless patience with all my questions. You clearly have a great depth of knowledge of the Bahamas. You were both so kind with the children and gracious in your hospitality. And although I understand provisioning is difficult in the Exumas (and you didn’t have much notice for our trip) every meal was delicious and the menu was well planned. The beach bonfire on the last night topped it all off - the kids have not stopped talking about the ‘Smores’ - what a lovely finish to the trip.

I have to tell you this was an awesome trip!!! The boat is spectacular, clean and luxurious, with all the added modern needs, like your own ensuite ,wifi and surround sound, while cruising in the Bahamas. The fresh food was delicious and healthy. Along the way, they often reeled in fresh Mahi and Tuna, refining Seth’s passion not just for the ocean, but for providing guests with incredible fresh seafood—both caught and prepared to perfection. Now, as the full-time captain of Destiny III, he brings adventure, expertise, and an eye for unforgettable experiences on every charter.

Chef Danielle was born and raised in the Florida Keys, where island life and the sea shaped her love for fresh, vibrant cuisine. Growing up in the kitchen alongside her mother—who ran a premier wedding catering business in Islamorada—Danielle developed a passion for gourmet cooking and exceptional hospitality.

Carving her own path, she successfully launched and sold a wedding planning business, as well as other ventures in fashion. Her extensive travels around the world further refined her culinary style, inspiring a fusion of global flavors with the fresh, local ingredients of the Bahamas.

Now aboard Destiny III, Danielle blends her expertise in hospitality and cuisine to craft unforgettable dining experiences. From just-caught seafood to beautifully plated gourmet meals, her dishes celebrate the flavors of the islands with creativity and finesse. Hey Captain Thanks so much for your kind words. Last night at dinner we reviewed all the fantastic moments spent on destiny. Kids were so appreciative and said they really had a blast with you. Aug 7-11 2020 The Keys Once in a lifetime trip
Feedback for CA Best memory? There are so many. Everybody’s favorite memory was when Captain Dave pulled out his guitar and we did a little jam session/open mike and we did a little bit of adlibbing. Capt Dave is a phenomenal guitar player. Joe and Steve took turns making up lyrics singing in blues style about being on the Destiny three, we called it the Marathon blues. We could not stop laughing! Best snorkeling site? Most of the main reefs were over packed, so he took us on ones that were less packed, we went on three different trips and they just got better every single time. They were all phenomenal, Captain Dave definitely knows where to go. Best activity? Feeding the tarpon, snorkeling and eating. Chef Steve is amazing. They both made the trip very fun and personable. Best things about your crew? They were very personable, but also gave you space and time with your family when needed. We had dinner aboard every night which was awesome. Dave helped us with the excursions and directed us on things that he thought would be fun for our family. The food was incredible, our first dinner was the mahi-mahi which was everyone’s favorite. They both treated us as though we were family from the beginning to the end. Dave knew so much about the different areas history and culture which was impressive. Anything special to mention? It was more than any of us could have ever imagined! This was by far a once in a lifetime trip. And thank you to Captain Dave and Steve for making it so memorable
November 2018 - So Much Fun!!
We have traveled by personal airplane to all the major Islands in the Bahamas and even rented power cats in the Abacos but we always wanted to go to Conception Island. It is just south of Cat Island but is only accessible by boat. Dave and Trish were great, they even let us bring our small dog along that played well with their dog Gigi. It was an unforgettable excursion into a large creek full of turtles, fish and conch in beautiful clear blue waters. Not to mention the multiple beaches, the birds, and the walks in this uninhabited natural reserve we even saw a cool fresh water well. Dave parked the boat so we could snorkel right off the back of it which we did multiple times. It’s a protected marine and land park which might be the reason I saw some of the largest fish I have ever seen in the Bahamas grouper, trigger fish, even a large black fin tuna plus a few harmless nurse sharks. We also got to snorkel another spot by dingy that had some of the largest and most colorful coral fans I have ever seen. Dave is an expert sailer and sail-maker of beautiful carbon fiber sails and has intriguing stories to tell. I must have asked a thousand questions about sailing and he really enjoyed explaining it all. He will even let you help out as much as you like. Sailing a power at was way cool. Trish his wife is fun and entertaining . The boat was super roomy and very clean. The meals were great. If you have a chance it is a trip of a lifetime
Family trip in Bahamas 25-29 October 2018
What a wonderful time we had with you aboard Destiny II. It was planned as a research trip but turned into so much more - a fabulous vacation that allowed us all to reconnect as a family. It is clear that you worked super hard before the charter to pull everything together, which is greatly appreciated. Thank-you for doing such a great job of showing us the Islands, we really packed so much in during the five days with multiple stops per day, (but still plenty of beach time) - thank-you Matthew for your endless patience with all my questions. You clearly have a great depth of knowledge of the Bahamas. You were both so kind with the children and gracious in your hospitality. And although I understand provisioning is difficult in the Exumas (and you didn’t have much notice for our trip) every meal was delicious and the menu was well planned. The beach bonfire on the last night topped it all off - the kids have not stopped talking about the ‘Smores’ - what a lovely finish to the trip.

Unless otherwise specified-Caribbean Standard All-Inclusive Charters include the following:

  • Standard check-in/check-out of 12pm
  • Light daily housekeeping
  • Breakfast, lunch, canapés/afternoon tea, dinner and snacks
  • Standard ship’s bar: vodka, gin, rum, whiskey, tequila, triple sec, mixers, local beers, table wine and water/coffee/tea and soft drinks
  • Stereo with MP3/iPhone connection with indoor/outdoor speakers; 3G/4G Wi-Fi access point
  • Snorkeling equipment, fishing gear, kayaks, dingy tender with outboard motors
  • Water toys such as floating islands, and air mattresses
  • Separate bathroom and living quarters for crew
  • Reputable and licensed crew who have local knowledge of waters and are able to adjust menus based on guest’s preferences and dietary restrictions
  • Operating expenses including: use of air conditioning, fuel, water, sailing permits/taxes, local taxes and crew wages

What Is Not Included in Standard All-Inclusive Charters:

  • Gratuity for crew. Gratuity is at guest discretion and is typically between 15-20%
  • Meals and beverages at restaurants and bars
  • Rendezvous diving, ASA sailing certification courses and any other offshore excursions
  • Premium wines and spirits
Rates are All Inclusive, except for the following:
Bahamas - please add 4% sales tax plus 10% VAT to the charter rate
Florida - Monroe County 7.5% sales tax for Keys
