Lounging around on the flybridge a few steps removed from the helm station on a breezy afternoon in the Virgin Islands is pretty darned enjoyable. In fact so is strolling about the boat and taking in the expansive views from numerous vantage points. On this boat, the great outdoors literally pour into the saloon and sleeping cabins thanks to the wall of glass and overhead skylight that spans the saloon.It offers four queen berths all en-suite bathrooms.

4 x queen cabins each with en-suite bath with electric toilet and stall showers.

Salon has lounge area, galley, nav station, formal dining area and door opening to front cockpit as well as aft deck. Salon can be opened with beautiful natural breeze and is also fully air conditioned for guests comfort.

Meet Gordon Holden, your Captain on Salty Dog! He is 28 from Buffalo NY and has been around the water his whole life. He grew up on the shores of Lake Erie sailing/swimming/waterskiing with family and friends in addition to spending summers at Lake Muskoka in Ontario Canada doing much of the same.
His family owns a C&C 33ft sailboat on Lake Erie that he and his 3 brothers learned to sail from an early age. In addition to sailing, he was the captain of my high school swimming and diving team as well as the local rugby club. He has always had a passion for the water and has sailed in a variety of locations across the globe.
During summer breaks in college, he worked in high end hospitality establishments in East Hampton & Montauk NY and enjoyed providing unique experiences to guests. A few years after graduating college with a Business Administration & History Degree, he worked in Corporate for some time and decided to leave his desk behind and hit the water full time! Gordon went on to obtained his captain and sailing credentials, spent a season working flotilla charters in the Mediterranean, mainly Croatia and Greece, and has spent the last season captaining term charters in the Virgin Islands.

Jenine is a culinary trained chef from Cape Town, South Africa. After completing her Bachelor of Commerce Degree and subsequently working 4 years in corporate retail, she left Cape Town for a brief traveling sabbatical and never looked back to “conventional” life again. She was an avid traveler in her 20’s and after spending 6 months in India she decided yet again to make a major change and seek work on superyachts. Although she initially joined superyachts to continue her nomadic lifestyle; a deep love for being on the water, and expressing herself creatively through food, is what kept her there. After 5 seasons on superyachts, Jenine transitioned to catamarans where she can have a more hands on experience with both guests and sailing alike. She is a passionate sailor, holding a yacht masters license and loves any activities to do with water, especially scuba diving. Jenine is very social, loves water sports and exploring new, undiscovered places.

BREAKFAST

Asparagus and Soft Eggs on toast, crispy bacon, freshly shaved parmesan cheese and topped with a hollandaise sauce.

Beef Huevos Rancheros with multigrain tortillas stacked with ground beef, eggs over easy, peppers, salsa, scallions, cilantro, feta cheese and avocado.

Salty Dog Was Amazing!
Wow!! From start to finish our trip on the Salty Dog was amazing. Our trip with guests spanning 3 generations had something for everyone - one favorite was seeing turtles in Maho Bay and everyone enjoyed snorkeling with the colorful fish. Waterlemon, Salt Pond and Lameshur were beautiful and secluded and the hikes had great views! A true highlight was meeting our Captain , Gordon, and chef, Jenine! We so appreciated their companionship and conversation as well as guidance, kindness and humour.
Fun, Wonderful Times
Gordon and Jenine made our very first boating/sailing experience beyond anything we could have ever imagined. So gracious, friendly, accommodating. So patient with our learning to snorkel and with our few physical limitations. Always suggesting alternatives so that we would enjoy the full experience of the week. Fabulous food, great conversation, lovely table settings and each meal was a particularly pleasant and delightful touch. Blessed to have shared all this with our daughter-in-law and grandchildren. memories for a lifetime. Fun wonderful times.
Will Never Forget Our Trip.
As we near the end of our one week journey, it's difficult to say what we've enjoyed most. I suppose for us we will miss the friends we've made first. Gordon and Jenine have done a fantastic job of welcoming us and providing outstanding service as captain and chef/first mate. Our food has been incredible and we've been spoiled by the quality, care and presentation for each meal. I could have never imagined a vacation like this was even an option. The islands and sea are beautiful and every day was different and offered a new adventure. We were able to relax or enjoy as much activity as we wanted. On our final night our farewell party was filled with laughter by people who loved and cared for each other. We will never forget our trip on Salty Dog :)
Thanks For Being Amazing!
Trip of a Lifetime for sure. We were so blessed to have the opportunity to spend 7 nights aboard Salty Dog! Jenine and Gordon were great and by the end of the week we felt like we were all on vacation together. The meals were phenomenal and the hospitality was endless. Gordon and Jenine were Amazing!
We had a lovely 4 night trip up the Drake Channel from St. Thomas to Virgin Gorda. Captain Gordon and Chef Jenine were amazing!! We hit all our favorite snorkel spots along the way - Caneel Bay, Waterlemon Cay, The Indians, Peter, Great Dog and Eustacia, and we even got to play with the water toys. We loved the underwater scooter. Thank you Captain Gordon and Jenine for the suggestion!!!! The food was first rate! Jenine is an amazing chef and we felt like we ate like gourmands every day! Thank you sincerely for a great trip, and we hope to be back with you in the future.

Knocked It Out Of The Park
Thank you Gordon and Jenine for a perfect Virgin Islands getaway. Besides arranging for perfect weather so that we could experience 100 degree F increase in temperature upon arrival in STT, you knocked it out of the park with kind hospitality, conversations, spectacular meals and yummy cocktails. We were all craving a week of sun, aqua water, beautiful coral and fish, yum food, relaxation and new adventures. We got it all and can't thank you enough.

Will Never Regret It!!
We could not have had a better week aboard the Salty Dog! We made memories that will last a lifetime. Gordon and Jenine made our family, spanning ages 6-64 feel extremely comfortable and pampered all week. The food was amazing, the service was amazing, the boat was amazing, the sights/excursions were amazing, and the company we shared was amazing. Gordon and Jenine quickly became extended family members which made saying goodbye more difficult. If you are on the fence about booking this trip, don't be! You will not regret it!
Blew Away Our Expectations
My family plus 2 friends just spent a week in the BVI on Salty Dog. We were all looking forward to the week but the week itself blew away our expectations. This was by far our best vacation ever! It's almost impossible not to have a beautiful vacation int he VI, but the siling experience made our vacation exponentially better.....this is largely in part because of the hard work and hospitality of Gordon and Jenine. It is a huge responsibility to care for 7 people. Gordon and Jenine know all the best stops for us to visit. They were great with our kids (22,19,18,14,13) All of their recommendations were excellent. Their polite and easy personalities made out trip so much more enjoyable. The food was excellent - I was shocked at everything my picky youngest ate. Each table escape was elegant and charming. We would hands-down recommend Salty Dog and in particular it's crew to any one!
A Balance of Relaxation and Adventure
We could not have asked for 2 better weeks aboard the beautiful Salty Dog! From perfect weather to the smooth sailing and unbelievable food. I wouldn't change a thing, well, maybe I'd add on a couple of nights but that's it!! I've waited nearly 25 years since my last trip and it was a dream to sail the BVI's again...with my family! Gordon and Jenine, you delivered a perfect trip, a balance of relaxation and adventure. Our girls will never forget it. So very grateful!

We Love The BVI's
What an amazing spring break trip. Out two families could not have asked for a better week. We started in St. Thomas and made our way around the BVI's. Thank you Captain Gordon and Chef Jenine fo an amazing experience. The food was incredible and everything was planned out perfectly. We hope to be back sooner than later. We love the BVI's - the beautiful scenery, the hospitality and the fun!
Never Stay At A Resort Again!
What a FANTASTIC week in paradise! We covered a lot of ground and had so many favorites along the way. The kids especially enjoyed snorkeling, tubing with Gordon. The Pirate Show conch blowing contest and the fun limbo, dance night at Potter By The Sea in Anegada. It is hard for 15 and 14 year olds to be impressed and I am certain they had a great time! Personal favs of the week for me were the beautiful beaches, snorkeling and finding live conch shells and the green helmet shell I found (only took pics ;), the stunning sunsets, Jenine's UNBELIEVABLE food all week and Gordon's cocktails - his painkiller was the best we had all week - sorry Soggy Dollar! George enjoyed the abundance of activities available and asking lots of questions (Ha!Ha!) We have never done a trip like this before and we are now officially spoiled. My husband will never stay in another resort again. Gordon and Jenine, thank you, thank you, thank you for making this week one of my Top 5 favorite vacations ever. We were catered to but appreciated the opportunity to "help out" with the mooring balls etc. Sad to see this week end but we will definitely be back.

Meet Gordon Holden, your Captain on Salty Dog! He is 28 from Buffalo NY and has been around the water his whole life. He grew up on the shores of Lake Erie sailing/swimming/waterskiing with family and friends in addition to spending summers at Lake Muskoka in Ontario Canada doing much of the same.
His family owns a C&C 33ft sailboat on Lake Erie that he and his 3 brothers learned to sail from an early age. In addition to sailing, he was the captain of my high school swimming and diving team as well as the local rugby club. He has always had a passion for the water and has sailed in a variety of locations across the globe.
During summer breaks in college, he worked in high end hospitality establishments in East Hampton & Montauk NY and enjoyed providing unique experiences to guests. A few years after graduating college with a Business Administration & History Degree, he worked in Corporate for some time and decided to leave his desk behind and hit the water full time! Gordon went on to obtained his captain and sailing credentials, spent a season working flotilla charters in the Mediterranean, mainly Croatia and Greece, and has spent the last season captaining term charters in the Virgin Islands.

Jenine is a culinary trained chef from Cape Town, South Africa. After completing her Bachelor of Commerce Degree and subsequently working 4 years in corporate retail, she left Cape Town for a brief traveling sabbatical and never looked back to “conventional” life again. She was an avid traveler in her 20’s and after spending 6 months in India she decided yet again to make a major change and seek work on superyachts. Although she initially joined superyachts to continue her nomadic lifestyle; a deep love for being on the water, and expressing herself creatively through food, is what kept her there. After 5 seasons on superyachts, Jenine transitioned to catamarans where she can have a more hands on experience with both guests and sailing alike. She is a passionate sailor, holding a yacht masters license and loves any activities to do with water, especially scuba diving. Jenine is very social, loves water sports and exploring new, undiscovered places.

BREAKFAST

Asparagus and Soft Eggs on toast, crispy bacon, freshly shaved parmesan cheese and topped with a hollandaise sauce.

Beef Huevos Rancheros with multigrain tortillas stacked with ground beef, eggs over easy, peppers, salsa, scallions, cilantro, feta cheese and avocado.

Country power scrambler with scrambled eggs, country bacon, breakfast sausage, cremini mushroom, onions, tomatoes and fried plantains and triangles of toast

Soft boiled eggs in a creamy cheese sauce with a dash of sherry and arugula on rye

Freshly flipped French crepes of your choice – cinnamon sugar with a touch of lemon, fresh strawberries and cream, plantains and caramel sauce or egg, spinach,  salsa and grated cheddar cheese.

Breakfast fruit platter, granola and yoghurt served with crunchy bran and marmalade French toast on the side.

New York breakfast with pumpernickel bread, thinly sliced smoked salmon, whipped cream cheese topped with slithers of red onion, diced tomato and fresh chives.

Salty Dog Was Amazing!
Wow!! From start to finish our trip on the Salty Dog was amazing. Our trip with guests spanning 3 generations had something for everyone - one favorite was seeing turtles in Maho Bay and everyone enjoyed snorkeling with the colorful fish. Waterlemon, Salt Pond and Lameshur were beautiful and secluded and the hikes had great views! A true highlight was meeting our Captain , Gordon, and chef, Jenine! We so appreciated their companionship and conversation as well as guidance, kindness and humour.
Fun, Wonderful Times
Gordon and Jenine made our very first boating/sailing experience beyond anything we could have ever imagined. So gracious, friendly, accommodating. So patient with our learning to snorkel and with our few physical limitations. Always suggesting alternatives so that we would enjoy the full experience of the week. Fabulous food, great conversation, lovely table settings and each meal was a particularly pleasant and delightful touch. Blessed to have shared all this with our daughter-in-law and grandchildren. memories for a lifetime. Fun wonderful times.
Will Never Forget Our Trip.
As we near the end of our one week journey, it's difficult to say what we've enjoyed most. I suppose for us we will miss the friends we've made first. Gordon and Jenine have done a fantastic job of welcoming us and providing outstanding service as captain and chef/first mate. Our food has been incredible and we've been spoiled by the quality, care and presentation for each meal. I could have never imagined a vacation like this was even an option. The islands and sea are beautiful and every day was different and offered a new adventure. We were able to relax or enjoy as much activity as we wanted. On our final night our farewell party was filled with laughter by people who loved and cared for each other. We will never forget our trip on Salty Dog :)

Trip of a Lifetime for sure. We were so blessed to have the opportunity to spend 7 nights aboard Salty Dog! Jenine and Gordon were great and by the end of the week we felt like we were all on vacation together. The meals were phenomenal and the hospitality was endless. We definitely will cross paths again and hope to be back on the Salty Dog real soon!! Thanks for being amazing!

Gordon and Jenine were Amazing!
We had a lovely 4 night trip up the Drake Channel from St. Thomas to Virgin Gorda. Captain Gordon and Chef Jenine were amazing!! We hit all our favorite snorkel spots along the way - Caneel Bay, Waterlemon Cay, The Indians, Peter, Great Dog and Eustacia, and we even got to play with the water toys. We loved the underwater scooter. Thank you Captain Gordon and Jenine for the suggestion!!!! The food was first rate! Jenine is an amazing chef and we felt like we ate like gourmands every day! Thank you sincerely for a great trip, and we hope to be back with you in the future.

Knocked It Out Of The Park
Thank you Gordon and Jenine for a perfect Virgin Islands getaway. Besides arranging for perfect weather so that we could experience 100 degree F increase in temperature upon arrival in STT, you knocked it out of the park with kind hospitality, conversations, spectacular meals and yummy cocktails. We were all craving a week of sun, aqua water, beautiful coral and fish, yum food, relaxation and new adventures. We got it all and can't thank you enough.

Will Never Regret It!!
We could not have had a better week aboard the Salty Dog! We made memories that will last a lifetime. Gordon and Jenine made our family, spanning ages 6-64 feel extremely comfortable and pampered all week. The food was amazing, the service was amazing, the boat was amazing, the sights/excursions were amazing, and the company we shared was amazing. Gordon and Jenine quickly became extended family members which made saying goodbye more difficult. If you are on the fence about booking this trip, don't be! You will not regret it!
Blew Away Our Expectations
My family plus 2 friends just spent a week in the BVI on Salty Dog. We were all looking forward to the week but the week itself blew away our expectations. This was by far our best vacation ever! It's almost impossible not to have a beautiful vacation int he VI, but the siling experience made our vacation exponentially better.....this is largely in part because of the hard work and hospitality of Gordon and Jenine. It is a huge responsibility to care for 7 people. Gordon and Jenine know all the best stops for us to visit. They were great with our kids (22,19,18,14,13) All of their recommendations were excellent. Their polite and easy personalities made out trip so much more enjoyable. The food was excellent - I was shocked at everything my picky youngest ate. Each table escape was elegant and charming. We would hands-down recommend Salty Dog and in particular it's crew to any one!
A Balance of Relaxation and Adventure
We could not have asked for 2 better weeks aboard the beautiful Salty Dog! From perfect weather to the smooth sailing and unbelievable food. I wouldn't change a thing, well, maybe I'd add on a couple of nights but that's it!! I've waited nearly 25 years since my last trip and it was a dream to sail the BVI's again...with my family! Gordon and Jenine, you delivered a perfect trip, a balance of relaxation and adventure. Our girls will never forget it. So very grateful!

We Love The BVI's
What an amazing spring break trip. Out two families could not have asked for a better week. We started in St. Thomas and made our way around the BVI's. Thank you Captain Gordon and Chef Jenine fo an amazing experience. The food was incredible and everything was planned out perfectly. We hope to be back sooner than later. We love the BVI's - the beautiful scenery, the hospitality and the fun!
Never Stay At A Resort Again!
What a FANTASTIC week in paradise! We covered a lot of ground and had so many favorites along the way. The kids especially enjoyed snorkeling, tubing with Gordon. The Pirate Show conch blowing contest and the fun limbo, dance night at Potter By The Sea in Anegada. It is hard for 15 and 14 year olds to be impressed and I am certain they had a great time! Personal favs of the week for me were the beautiful beaches, snorkeling and finding live conch shells and the green helmet shell I found (only took pics ;), the stunning sunsets, Jenine's UNBELIEVABLE food all week and Gordon's cocktails - his painkiller was the best we had all week - sorry Soggy Dollar! George enjoyed the abundance of activities available and asking lots of questions (Ha!Ha!) We have never done a trip like this before and we are now officially spoiled. My husband will never stay in another resort again. Gordon and Jenine, thank you, thank you, thank you for making this week one of my Top 5 favorite vacations ever. We were catered to but appreciated the opportunity to "help out" with the mooring balls etc. Sad to see this week end but we will definitely be back.

HALF-BOARD OPTION: $150 discount per person

LOCAL FARE OPTION: $75 discount per person
