Impressed with Capt. John
We were most impressed with how Capt. John was totally in calm control throughout the trip and knew each of the beautiful spots to go to maximize our pleasure. He also knew how to make each of us comfortable where ever we went, especially the one person who was more cautious on the water, providing an air mattress and kayak for her comfort. We were able to assist the sailing as much as we liked, sometimes relaxing instead. Following beautiful fish and turtles while snorkeling, kayaking ashore to view the Baths on Virgin Gorda, feeling the occasional splash while sailing close to the wind toward Scrub Island, all made for a wonderful experience. Even saw some fire dancers while having dinner John definitely knows how to take care of everyone and handle every contingency, making us all feel very safe throughout
Close to Pure Bliss
Two retired couples from Brooklyn NY, all experienced sailboat owners spent a delightful week aboard Sea Witch, a classic large sailboat. Each couple had a private cabin with head(bathroom). John owns the boat, and is extremely capable and personable and welcomes you warmly as guests. We moored/anchored in scenic bays at St. Johns, Norman's Cay, Beef Island/Tortola (Marina Cay), Virgin Gorda (The Baths), Peter's Island and Buck Island. Each Bay was an occasion to lead us on a wonderful reef snorkel, followed by margaritas, gourmet dinner and evenings of conversation and stories. John and Sea Witch have had some off-season adventures all right! John is an excellent captain- he readily let the two husbands have the helm ( keeping a calm watchful eye on us). We were all four guests active daily but with time to relax; each of us read all or most of a novel that week. A delightful week ! This is perfect for non- boaters as well as old salts; close to pure bliss..
We Would Go Back Tomorrow
We had a wonderful time on our one week cruise on Sea Witch in the Virgin Islands. Captain John is a pleasure to travel with. John knows the waters there like the back of his hand. He is dedicated to providing guests with a wonderful experience, and obviously enjoys interacting with his clients. Our cruise was more like a trip with close friends. The boat itself is spacious, comfortable and very well maintained. We would go back tomorrow

The VAT and APA are calculated on the cost of the boat and paid in addition to that base price. The APA covers: fuel, water, food, licenses, alcohol, and any specific items you would like provided to you. APA money that is not used for provisioning would be reimbursed to you- or, if you spend over the amount, they would charge you. The Captain keeps track of expenses and would let you know if you’re reaching your APA limit. This is the industry standard for the region.

Caribbean Terms or Caribbean Inclusions refer to all-inclusive rates. These boats are typically catamarans and monohulls and are found in the Caribbean.

Most (but not all) motor-yachts and sailing vessels in the Med are Med Rate terms.
