Since his early childhood he spent every free moment on board helping, watching and learning with
his father and grandfather.
He started his maritime career as soon as he graduated from Maritime School in Split, slowly
building his way up to become a Captain.
Dare is very passionate about his job especially as “Altair” is the first ship in his ownership.
With the support of his wife, son and the rest of his family, he is completely dedicated and
determined to provide his guests with memories for a lifetime.
There was never a doubt in his mind about the line of work he wants to do when growing up, so it is
fair to say that being a captain is not just a job for him, it is his dream come true.

I feel so lucky to have spent a week on the beautiful Altair. Such a special boat, with an amazing crew. Every day was a new adventure-all of Captain’s recommendations were stellar. I think Croatia is one of my favourite places in the world. I hope to bring my family back sometime in the next few years. The food was magic and the swimming spots perfect. The crew and Captain were so friendly plus fun and attentive to everyone on board.
I love Altair! My only disappointment – the week went by too fast!!!

On the last night of a fantastic trip, I truly find myself looking for words. The past week has been nothing more than eye opening. This country was amazing, the food, the drinks and the people. The glue which joined us all was the crew of Altair. These guys are amazing. I will never forget the Captain, the service, friendship and patience they extended to us all. You are truly lucky to sail on this ship with this crew.

Rates are Plus Expenses
What are "Med Rates" or "Med Terms?"
Med Term pricing is cost (cost of the boat) + VAT (country tax) + APA (operating and provisioning expenses). The cost is the weekly rate for the charter. The VAT and APA are calculated on the cost of the boat and paid in addition to that base price. The APA covers: fuel, water, food, licenses, alcohol, and any specific items you would like provided to you. APA money that is not used for provisioning would be reimbursed to you- or, if you spend over the amount, they would charge you. The Captain keeps track of expenses and would let you know if you’re reaching your APA limit. This is the industry standard for the region.
Caribbean Terms or Caribbean Inclusions refer to all-inclusive rates. These boats are typically catamarans and monohulls and are found in the Caribbean.
Most (but not all) motor-yachts and sailing vessels in the Med are Med Rate terms.
The yachts featured on our website will specifically state which type of pricing they offer.
