CAPTAIN | Brendan Roney
Brendan Roney is from Allentown, Pennsylvania. He is the middle of three boys who grew up playing any outdoor activity and/or sport one could imagine. After graduating from Duquesne University with a BS in business administration, he decided to make the move to a much warmer climate. Brendan was hired by the Catamaran Company in Florida and became head of marketing and boat shows for the eastern seaboard.
Through that position, he quickly realized my love for the sea and all things boating. Brendan decided to pursue a career in the yachting industry. He began this journey 23 years ago and cannot imagine doing anything else! When he started out as a deckhand, he had little to no knowledge of what he was doing. But, he stayed the course and eventually worked his way up the ranks to mate, then second engineer and Oinally Captain.
Throughout his career Brendan has been fortunate enough to work for some of the kindest and well-‐respected families in the industry. As such, he takes great pride in his role as Captain and strives to always remain Oirm in purpose. This holds true not only for his guests and crew while at work, but also in regards to his family dynamic.
As far as voyages are considered, Brendan completed a transatlantic crossing on a 57’ catamaran, traveled from the Caribbean to Alaska and back on a 90’ ketch, cruised the eastern seaboard, New England and Canada multiple times. He has taken more trips to the Bahamas then he can count and has worked on both chartered and privately owned yachts from 90’-‐213’
Brendan's goal is to make each trip the memory of a lifetime!

Rates are Plus Expenses

Med Term pricing is cost (cost of the boat) + VAT (country tax) + APA (operating and provisioning expenses). The cost is the weekly rate for the charter. The VAT and APA are calculated on the cost of the boat and paid in addition to that base price. The APA covers: fuel, water, food, licenses, alcohol, and any specific items you would like provided to you. APA money that is not used for provisioning would be reimbursed to you- or, if you spend over the amount, they would charge you. The Captain keeps track of expenses and would let you know if you’re reaching your APA limit. This is the industry standard for the region.

Caribbean Terms or Caribbean Inclusions refer to all-inclusive rates. These boats are typically catamarans and monohulls and are found in the Caribbean.

Most (but not all) motor-yachts and sailing vessels in the Med are Med Rate terms.

The yachts featured on our website will specifically state which type of pricing they offer.
