CHEF Daniel Moumou
Seychelles :: languages Creole, French, English, some Italian and German.
After completing his education at the Seychelles Cooking School, Daniel worked at various resorts and hotels in the Seychelles. At the newly opened 5-star Lemuria Resort and Golf Course on Praslin Island, he worked his way up from Commis Chef to Chef de Partie, specialising in Italian and
Mediterranean cuisine. After two years, he moved on to a position as Sous Chef on the exclusive Desroches Island and stayed for 6 years.
Daniel wanted to try something new and found just what he liked: work as Chef with Dream Yacht Charters. Stints as varied as Chef on oil tankers and boutique-sized Silhouette Cruises in the Seychelles, preceded a return to free-lance work on various catamarans and superyachts.
He has been Chef on LONESTAR since 2015 and delights the owner's family and charter guests alike with fabulous Creole, Mediterranean, Asian and international cuisine.
In short: Daniel is flexible and is not afraid to make changes in the menu, for instance if guests have a last minute request to prepare their fresh catch of the day. Daniel's humour and upbeat personality complement his thorough cooking skills. He is also a great very sailing-savvy First Mate and likes singing, sports and hiking.
