David has 10 year’s experience sailing and working aboard vessels in the Caribbean as well as in the Mediterranean. He has over 35000nm under his belt as a Captain and loves to share his experience with all around him. The past Caribbean season was spent working aboard a prominent and successful catamaran with a full schedule of charters.

As a youth David spent time both in and on the water and has since taken to teaching various sailing courses all over the world. He enjoys sailing, water skiing, kite boarding and diving. David’s fun loving nature combined with his knowledge and extensive experience of life afloat make a perfect combination to spearhead a dream vacation with memories to last a lifetime!

Tayla grew up on the East Coast of South Africa. She has always had a fondness for hospitality. Her yachting career began in France aboard super yachts and she has since completed a number of professional hospitality courses: WSET Level 1 Wine and Spirits course and a Bartending and Mixology course. A professionally trained chef, Tayla has attained her Level 2 CTH Certificate In Culinary Arts at the accredited Ashburton Cookery School in Devon. She has worked as the sole chef on both sailing and motor catamarans as well as a private in house chef.

She was a children’s swim schoolteacher earlier in her career and enjoys any water activity. Tayla will combine her knowledge of service and hospitality with her passion for cuisine to create a tantalizing taste experience.

David and Tayla are a vibrant energetic team enthusiastic about chartering and ready to share paradise with you!

Christmas Charter BVI 2018
The Goodwyn gang cannot begin to thank you enough for making our Christmas vacation so absolutely unforgettable! each port exceeded our wildest expectations - from snorkeling Diamond Cay and the Bubbly Pool, to The Dogs, To Anegada where we rode scooters and caught lobsters and conch. Fishing was a highlight catching 3 Wahoo and 5 Blackfin Tuna!!!! Our tattoos from Michael Beans show lasted the whole trip! Dinner at The Wonky Dog did not compare to anything Hannah could magically whip up onboard. Jet skiing in Leverick Bay and the tour around the outside of the island was incredible! Christmas Day spent at The Baths and Little Harbour was unsurpassable! The sub-wing, turtles, night dive and Christmas DINNER!!! (Where Hannah finally defeated us) Made all Christmases to come a hard act to follow. Snorkeling the Indians was among the best and our hike up Norman "mountain" helped prepare us for the next meal! We are sad to be leaving but we cannot thank you enough for making this the trip of a lifetime!!! until next time...... P.S The boys unanimously agree Hannah can make anything taste good!

It is not an exaggeration to say that you have changed our lives this week. We boarded Ohana with some trepidation about whether we would enjoy a charter cruise; we will debark today not only having extended our first cruise from 3 days to 7, but with three additional future cruises with you already booked. Every element of our experience has been a pleasant surprise, from Hannah's Michelin-level cuisine to he pleasures of "deep" underwater snorkeling, safely escorted by Stu, the expert underwater photographer. We are so appreciate your incredibly high lever of service, attention to detail, and over all kindness in accommodating our requests and making us feel completely at ease at all times. What an amazing vacation! Exploring the Exumas and celebrating High School Graduations. Stu, you are an excellent tour guide for finding the best snorkel spots and land adventures. Hannah, your laugh...it is infections! It makes us smile every time we hear it! And your food was amazing! You had our kids trying things they never would have eaten at home :-) We will never forget the adventures and memories made. Iguanas, turtles, sharks, caves, pigs, i think we saw a little of everything! And Exploding Kittens! We will never forget this trip or your wonderful hospitality! Thank You! This review is to applaud the excellent adventure we took with Tayla and David onboard the magnificent 60ft Power Catamaran, "Ohana". There is not doubt in my mind that our amazing trip we had in early December 2020 around the islands of the Bahamas was due to the charter management skills and work ethic of Tayla and David. We have chartered boats in previous years and I can honestly say that the crew is so extremely dedicated, professional and conscientious of their positions. Taylas commitment to maintaining a clean environment while you are onboard does not go unnoticed. As well, she served some of the tastiest meals I have ever consumed in my life while onboard. I honestly believe the food she served made the trip unique and exciting, always excited for the next meal! David's captain skills are remarkable, truly one of the best Captains we have ever come across. He is confident in his decision making, safety skills and his skills in knowing the ins and outs of remote location all around the Bahamas are so evident. He truly went above and beyond to make sure every location we visited topped the previous. The crew worked efficiently and swiftly together, just as a well oiled machine would. To Future Guests, This was our first charter cruise. Together with another couple and their child, my wife Patti and I enjoyed a wonderful experience on the Ohana power cat yacht. The vessel was exceptionally comfortable and well appointed. The ride was always smooth - even in high seas. The best part of the trip, however, was the care and attention displayed by our crew, Captain Dave and Chef Tayla. Both were very knowledgeable, helpful and professional. Besides Captaining the boat, Dave took care to ensure each of our island excursions were memorable including taking us to popular attractions as well as “off the beaten path” experiences. He was always mindful of our safety and enjoyment. Tayla runs an efficient kitchen and five star quality hotel experience. Each meal was flavorful and prepared to perfection. Neither her confined work space galley nor rolling tides diminished in anyway her always artful presentation and creative multiple course meals. Because of her, we limited our off the boat dining. Her constant smile and desire to please each guest was sincere and much appreciated. Overall, our experience was beyond our expectations. CREW GRATUITY IS CUSTOMARY AND IS USUALLY BETWEEN 15-20% OF THE CHARTER RATE

Med Term pricing is cost (cost of the boat) + VAT (country tax) + APA (operating and provisioning expenses). The cost is the weekly rate for the charter. The VAT and APA are calculated on the cost of the boat and paid in addition to that base price. The APA covers: fuel, water, food, licenses, alcohol, and any specific items you would like provided to you. APA money that is not used for provisioning would be reimbursed to you- or, if you spend over the amount, they would charge you. The Captain keeps track of expenses and would let you know if you’re reaching your APA limit. This is the industry standard for the region.

Caribbean Terms or Caribbean Inclusions refer to all-inclusive rates. These boats are typically catamarans and monohulls and are found in the Caribbean.

Most (but not all) motor-yachts and sailing vessels in the Med are Med Rate terms.

The Goodwyn gang cannot begin to thank you enough for making our Christmas vacation so absolutely unforgettable! each port exceeded our wildest expectations - from snorkeling Diamond Cay and the Bubbly Pool, to The Dogs, To Anegada where we rode scooters and caught lobsters and conch. Fishing was a highlight catching 3 Wahoo and 5 Blackfin Tuna!!!! Our tattoos from Michael Beans show lasted the whole trip! Dinner at The Wonky Dog did not compare to anything Hannah could magically whip up onboard. Jet skiing in Leverick Bay and the tour around the outside of the island was incredible! Christmas Day spent at The Baths and Little Harbour was unsurpassable! The sub-wing, turtles, night dive and Christmas DINNER!!! (Where Hannah finally defeated us) Made all Christmases to come a hard act to follow. Snorkeling the Indians was among the best and our hike up Norman "mountain" helped prepare us for the next meal! We are sad to be leaving but we cannot thank you enough for making this the trip of a lifetime!!! until next time...... P.S The boys unanimously agree Hannah can make anything taste good!

It is not an exaggeration to say that you have changed our lives this week. We boarded Ohana with some trepidation about whether we would enjoy a charter cruise; we will debark today not only having extended our first cruise from 3 days to 7, but with three additional future cruises with you already booked. Every element of our experience has been a pleasant surprise, from Hannah's Michelin-level cuisine to he pleasures of "deep" underwater snorkeling, safely escorted by Stu, the expert underwater photographer. We are so appreciate your incredibly high lever of service, attention to detail, and over all kindness in accommodating our requests and making us feel completely at ease at all times. What an amazing vacation! Exploring the Exumas and celebrating High School Graduations. Stu, you are an excellent tour guide for finding the best snorkel spots and land adventures. Hannah, your laugh...it is infections! It makes us smile every time we hear it! And your food was amazing! You had our kids trying things they never would have eaten at home :-) We will never forget the adventures and memories made. Iguanas, turtles, sharks, caves, pigs, i think we saw a little of everything! And Exploding Kittens! We will never forget this trip or your wonderful hospitality! Thank You! This review is to applaud the excellent adventure we took with Tayla and David onboard the magnificent 60ft Power Catamaran, "Ohana". There is not doubt in my mind that our amazing trip we had in early December 2020 around the islands of the Bahamas was due to the charter management skills and work ethic of Tayla and David. We have chartered boats in previous years and I can honestly say that the crew is so extremely dedicated, professional and conscientious of their positions. Taylas commitment to maintaining a clean environment while you are onboard does not go unnoticed. As well, she served some of the tastiest meals I have ever consumed in my life while onboard. I honestly believe the food she served made the trip unique and exciting, always excited for the next meal! David's captain skills are remarkable, truly one of the best Captains we have ever come across. He is confident in his decision making, safety skills and his skills in knowing the ins and outs of remote location all around the Bahamas are so evident. He truly went above and beyond to make sure every location we visited topped the previous. The crew worked efficiently and swiftly together, just as a well oiled machine would. To Future Guests, This was our first charter cruise. Together with another couple and their child, my wife Patti and I enjoyed a wonderful experience on the Ohana power cat yacht. The vessel was exceptionally comfortable and well appointed. The ride was always smooth - even in high seas. The best part of the trip, however, was the care and attention displayed by our crew, Captain Dave and Chef Tayla. Both were very knowledgeable, helpful and professional. Besides Captaining the boat, Dave took care to ensure each of our island excursions were memorable including taking us to popular attractions as well as “off the beaten path” experiences. He was always mindful of our safety and enjoyment. Tayla runs an efficient kitchen and five star quality hotel experience. Each meal was flavorful and prepared to perfection. Neither her confined work space galley nor rolling tides diminished in anyway her always artful presentation and creative multiple course meals. Because of her, we limited our off the boat dining. Her constant smile and desire to please each guest was sincere and much appreciated. Overall, our experience was beyond our expectations. CREW GRATUITY IS CUSTOMARY AND IS USUALLY BETWEEN 15-20% OF THE CHARTER RATE

Med Term pricing is cost (cost of the boat) + VAT (country tax) + APA (operating and provisioning expenses). The cost is the weekly rate for the charter. The VAT and APA are calculated on the cost of the boat and paid in addition to that base price. The APA covers: fuel, water, food, licenses, alcohol, and any specific items you would like provided to you. APA money that is not used for provisioning would be reimbursed to you- or, if you spend over the amount, they would charge you. The Captain keeps track of expenses and would let you know if you’re reaching your APA limit. This is the industry standard for the region.

Caribbean Terms or Caribbean Inclusions refer to all-inclusive rates. These boats are typically catamarans and monohulls and are found in the Caribbean.

Most (but not all) motor-yachts and sailing vessels in the Med are Med Rate terms.
