THALIMA, is a luxury sailing yacht, first in the new SWS 110 series, designed by Nauta. Although THALIMA is a true bluewater cruiser, she has also been designed for high sailing performance, to combine relaxing cruising and exciting sailing. The forward cockpit allows plenty of space for guests to relax while the crew is manoeuvring. The retractable anchor means the foredeck and bow are clear of obstruction. THALIMA has a modern, spacious and bright interior. It has been achieved with a choice of premium materials, colors, shapes, and light source. The décor is simple yet with an elegant contemporary edge and a welcoming atmosphere. The yacht has air conditioning throughout, and Wi-Fi connection on board. Anchorage takes on a new dimension and will please guests with the spacious cockpit, well protected by a bimini. Guests can rest or enjoy the large choice of water toys. The 5 crew members welcome passengers to a great layout which includes a spacious master suite with full beam bathroom (including a bath) with light therapy. THALIMA is geared towards performance cruising and racing, and offers the ultimate experience for unforgettable holidays with family or friends. Captain
Eddy Guzman
Nation: French
Born: 1971
License: Master of Yacht 200 tons unlimited license
Languages: English - French - Spanish
Captain : Eddy GUZMAN
Nationality: French, born in 1971
Languages: English, French and Spanish
Diploma : Master of Yacht 200 tons unlimited license

Eddy started travelling at a young age with his parents and his love for sailing began when he started taking up the sport through his school. He had his first racing experience, aged ten, on an Optimist sailboat, and continued racing on many kinds of boats - such as a 470 Tornado and single-handed offshore boats.
After some years as a sailing instructor, he came ashore and took a job leading a team in the medical assistance field.
Despite having a successful life in Barcelona, the call of the sea drew him back to his first love – sailing!
He has worked on a variety of high profile boats from prestigious yachts such as S/Y AMAALTA, 86’ maxi racing boat in the 1990s, through S/Y CAP II, CNB 76’ for more than 4 years, to MAITA’Ï, a 74’ catamaran.
During this busy time, he skippered MINISKIRT, a 105’ Ron Holland for over 6 months in the Caribbean and Mediterranean.
He has also carried out many deliveries, logging 15 Atlantic crossings to gain experience.
He knows the Eastern and Western Mediterranean, Croatia and the Balearics well, and has also cruised the entire Caribbean, encompassing a career of 20 years of yachting and more than 13 years in the charter industry. He developed excellent skills, with a keen eye for detail to ensure every cruise is unique and custom-made for each guest. Guests’ comments praise his charter skills to a very high level.
Onboard S/Y LEO, CNB 76 from 2014 to 2017, Eddy holds a Yacht Masters 200 tons unlimited license, and is fluent in English, French, and Spanish.
During those 4 exciting and adventurous years of intensive charters and owner cruises on Léo, he built a good relationship with the owner who acquired S/Y THALIMA in 2017.
Eddy likes his busy life and embraces hard work with vitality and enthusiasm. Still, the best thing about Captain Eddy Guzman is his winning smile and “can do” personality, coupled with his hands-on capability with sailing and mechanics to ensure an excellent time on board S/Y THALIMA.

Please find below charter guests‘ comments with Eddy working as Leo’s captain, CNB 76’, on board previous years. Further to be an excellent captain, Eddy has always been competent at recruiting a really good crew team.
Charter in Adriatic (Kotor-Split) - 10-18th of July 2016: Dear Eddy, Just a short note to you and the team how much we enjoyed the days with you on Leo. Everything was perfect so that we would love to come again next year at the same time. I asked our agent to contact your agent in this respect. Hope you have a good end of the season. All the best also to Yann and David. Charter in Adriatic (Kotor-Split) - 07-16th of July 2016: We have just had a fantastic time on Léo. Eddy, Yann and David were brilliant. We told them to their faces and now I’m telling you.You probably know it already but there is no harm in praising people when they do a fantastic job. Your organisation was also very professional and made the whole charter process much easier. So a big thank you to all concerned. Charter in Corsica (Bonifacio/Olbia)- 12-19th of August 2015: Eddy, the sailing trip around Corsica & Sardinia has been amazing! Thank you all for being so sweet and attentive. You are all one of a kind and very talented! The food was amazing, the water ski lessons were awesome, and the service was top! Léo is an extremely lovely yacht and the crew could not be better. I am so happy that this was the experience for my first time ever sailing! English translation : We have done a wonderful charter on Léo, thanks to Eddy and his team 's kindness and the professionalism. The Yacht is by herself perfect on both aspects, race/speed and comfort. We had the chance to sail well and estimate her performance. Charter in BVI’s - 5-12 February 2015 :  By all means the crew is, in our opinion, the most outstanding point of excellence of Léo’s  Capt. Eddy Guzman and his crew ( Rénault and Deborah) are all highly skilled professionals, both in sailing and in all other aspects of seafaring  Even more important, they are all extremely pleasant persons. Friendly, helpful, impeccable at all times. For us they made the difference between, say, a very good holiday and a superlative one  The sailing experience of the Captain and of his Mate is world class, and gave us a feeling of total serenity, no matter what could have happened ( you never know, at sea )  Deborah’s cuisine deserves a special mention: super. Out of her galley came the most varied, healthy and entertaining cuisine one could ever think of on a sailing yacht.
Charter in BVI’s – 12th December ,2014 to the 05th of January, 2015: The charter has been a success and the crew has been fantastic. We all thoroughly enjoyed the time spent on Leo and the sailing was spectacular. Charter in South of France -29th of July to 05th of August, 2014 : « Dear xx, we are back on shore in South of France. It was a perfect week. The team of Eddy, Enora and Guillaume are very nice people. Charter South of France – June 10th to 15th, 2014 Now that we are back in NY, I wanted to be a bit more expansive in our praise for our trip on Leo. Captain Eddy is a lot of fun and runs a tight ship as well. We always felt safe and he was willing to let us try our hands at sailing as well as relax. He's a great host and knows how to take cues from the family about what keeps everyone happy. I have never seen my children more relaxed and happy. And so were Donna and I. Our relatively early departure in the only difficult weather was a challenge as we debarked by dinghy in relatively rough water as it was too hard to make it into hyeres shallow harbor. Eddie and the crew kept the family calm and mostly dry and it came off without a hitch. Enora is a magnificent chef and every meal was inspired. I don't know haw she does it in a ships galley - but Leo has an amazing galley. She is also he unusual person who seems very happy when the family is happy. Margot worked well with the family too and my children fell in love with Enora and Margot both. Everyone spoke excellent English and there were no problems communicating. We could not recommend everyone more highly - nor Leo which was the perfect sail for our trip. Thank you, too, for putting us together and making our first charter a terrific experience.
Charter August 5-19 2017 - North Sardinia
From charterer : « Eddy, Guillaume, Andrea, Isabella, thank you very much for your super hospitality ! Everything was great : sailing, food, service, relax ! We enjoyed it ! » From broker : “I have just received a message from Mr. XX’s assistant, who says that Mr. XX’s family enjoyed a lot the cruise onboard Thalima. They had a very good time and they have appreciated the great job of all the crew. Congratulation to all of you !”
Antigua Charter Yacht Show 2017: Brokers'comments
First Comment: "I would like to let you know how much we appreciated the time and attention from Eddy, Cleo, Helene, Aurélie and Alex during our visits to THALIMA during the Antigua charter yacht show. A special thanks also for the outstanding lunch we had last Thursday. We are very confident and enthusiastic about our upcoming charter. Eddy was very helpful with comments and suggestions as we went through the charter planning. I think he understands the needs of the guests from all aspects of the trip; the sailing, the itinerary, the service and most importantly, the people to people relationships that make a charter vacation special. I found all the crew to be friendly and outgoing. The clients for our charter place a very high emphasis on mealtimes as an opportunity for family and friend to be together to enjoy each other’s company and stimulating creations from the chef. Not only was Cleo’s lunch inspiring and special but I had a chance to speak with her about her culinary philosophy and style. I believe she and the guests will have a great time together. Thanks again for your efforts during the show and we look forward to working with you, Eddy and all the THALIMA crew on our upcoming charter and many more to follow." Second Comment: "Thank you so much again for having me on board Thalima. It was spectacular !! »
Charter December 23-30 2017, St Vincent-Canouan

Seven days of beautiful scenery, blue Caribbean waters, picturesque islands, exciting sailing trips and delicious meals. Time passed too quickly but every second was relaxing and enjoyable. This is what makes a vacation special - great times with friends and family on a world class sailing yacht with a warm and highly attentive crew. We`re already looking forward to our next time aboard Thalima! ”
Charter December 31-January 7, 2018, Canouan-Grenada

This trip would not have been the same without you guys. » Charterer 2 - original comment : « Merci pour cette semaine de rêve ! Encore une fois merci pour tout ! » Translation: "Thank you for this dream week ! Your thoughtfulness, your smiles and your cheerfulness made our stay most enjoyable. The meals were delicious and the yoga sessions very relaxing. Once again thank you for everything !" Charterer 3 - original comment : “Superbes vacances, un crew super cool et plein d’activités. February 14-24, 2018 Tortola-Tortola:
« I had a chance to speak with Mr. XX regarding his charter on THALIMA and I am pleased to report that the charter was an overall success. Mr. XX and his wife said that the crew were extremely nice, very hard working and very good sailors. The XX have chartered several yachts and understand the challenging dynamics involved in having guests and crew all together over a period of days. They were very pleased to be with such a pleasant crew and they appreciated the amount of effort that each put into their jobs every minute of every day, not only in running the yacht but in making sure the guests had a good time and good sailing. Mr. XX appreciated Eddy’s professionalism, communication skills and the way he led the team. They made a special point of saying how good Alex was with their son, in addition to being a great first mate. The girls’ work was very much appreciated as the guests all enjoyed having nice meals plus sailing. Cleo did a nice job under challenging conditions. The guests enjoyed Helene and how she looked after their comfort. They were all impressed with Lena’s sailing skills. As far as the yacht goes, Mr. XX still loves THALIMA’s excellent sailing performance. She is one of the best sailing charter yachts. The other guests are now also converted to performance sailing. Mr. XX understands that there has been very little time to work on the yacht since the sale and he is impressed with how the crew has worked to make the sailing experience so good. He knows that there is more to come as Eddy and the new Owner get time to perfect their beautiful yacht. He looks forward to sailing again with THALIMA, Eddy and his crew in the future. I very much enjoyed working with Eddy. He was very helpful and insightful. I was very confident in Eddy’s knowledge and experience. I will be happy send more charters to Eddy and THALIMA and to provide references and to give recommendations if I can be of assistance. As always, I enjoy working with you. Please feel free to copy the Owner and crew and please pass on my thanks to the Owner for making such a wonderful crew and nice yacht available for charter.”
February 28 - March 10, 2018, Tortola-Tortola:
« C’était un grand plaisir » - « Thank you for making our time so special ! I came as a guest and leave as a friend » - « Great week, great people, great sailing »
February 28 - March 10, 2018, Tortola-Tortola:
Feedback written on THALIMA’s golden book: « Many thanks for a fabulous week ! Great food, friends and fabulous scenery made for an unforgettable week. »
Rates are Plus Expenses
Summer rates 2020 (Mediterranean) : from 15th May
July - August :
€ 64,000 per week (plus 25% APA and plus VAT when applicable) based on MYBA terms. One week-minimum charter rate
May-June-September :
€ 58,000 per week (plus 25% APA and plus VAT when applicable) based on MYBA terms

All rates are for 7 nights, 8 days. Charters of less than 7 nights on request depending on schedule and season (5-night-minimum rate)
For short charters (less than a week), please use the divide-by-6 rule.

Med Term pricing is cost (cost of the boat) + VAT (country tax) + APA (operating and provisioning expenses). The cost is the weekly rate for the charter. The VAT and APA are calculated on the cost of the boat and paid in addition to that base price. The APA covers: fuel, water, food, licenses, alcohol, and any specific items you would like provided to you. APA money that is not used for provisioning would be reimbursed to you- or, if you spend over the amount, they would charge you. The Captain keeps track of expenses and would let you know if you’re reaching your APA limit. This is the industry standard for the region.

Caribbean Terms or Caribbean Inclusions refer to all-inclusive rates. These boats are typically catamarans and monohulls and are found in the Caribbean.

Most (but not all) motor-yachts and sailing vessels in the Med are Med Rate terms.

The yachts featured on our website will specifically state which type of pricing they offer.

Le bateau lui-même est en tout point parfait allure et confort. Nous avons pu le faire marcher et apprécier ses performances.
