GEM 64
GEM is a "Vicem 64 Classic" composite cold-molded mahogany vessel built in 2003 which has been generously maintained and customized throughout the years. GEM has all the latest technology onboard with modern navigational systems, Wifi, 4 TV’s with Direct TV, and a Sonos sound system integrated throughout the vessel. There are plenty of great vantage points to enjoy your cruise thanks to the large aft deck seating area that flows seamlessly through two wide mahogany doors into the saloon. The design means guests can use both spaces without feeling isolated from one another, and during inclement weather, the saloon can be closed to absorb a good-size gathering. There is a sunbathing area on the fore-deck and a large swim platform aft with a ladder and hot shower. GEM has a fully equipped galley and bar area with everything you may need for hosting. GEM has recently add a Starlink internet system for Summer 2025 and beyond, and also a FLIR infrared and low light camera system which is tied into the yacht´s Nav screens to enable night charters if required."

Gordon's professional journey into yachting began in earnest during his college years, working as a mate on yachts each summer. After earning a BS in Business Management from Plymouth State University, he committed to a full-time yachting career at age 22. By 25, Gordon had obtained his 100-ton USCG Captain's License and was captaining sailing yachts. His certifications, including a 200-ton RYA Yachtmaster, MCA Approved Engine Course (A.E.C.), First Aid CPR, and PADI Open Water Diver, perfectly reflect his motto, “Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn”. Over the past 21 years, he's sailed far and wide, gaining tons of experience along the way. From steering both motor and sailing yachts to leading trips across the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, Gordon's done it all. He's racked up over 140,000 miles at sea, becoming a pro at navigating through any conditions.
Whether he's captaining motor or sailing yachts, Gordon's known for keeping things ship-shape and safe. Gordon prefers an interactive charter style, enjoying guest engagement, excursions, and watersports, while also understanding the need for tranquility. His favorite destinations include the Galapagos for its unique wildlife, New Zealand for its diverse landscapes and welcoming people, and the British Virgin Islands for their vibrant atmosphere. His extensive experience, combined with his passion for yachting and positivity, ensures that he creates unforgettable charter experiences for his guests.

Usually $400 a day for overnight trips and often the Captain would need a chef 1 day prior to trip for provisioning.
So 8 days @$400 equals $3,200 extra for a chef.
Day Charters Available - Customizable day/evening packages, please inquire for availability.
6 hours: $3,000 plus expenses for up to 6 passengers
8 hours: $3,500 plus expenses for up to 6 passengers
The East Ferry Deli, across the street from where Gem is based in Jamestown, is always very popular for guests to order lunches to take on board
Note from Capt. Gordon about free parking in Jamestown:
Just for future knowledge for clients: If we pick up and drop off from our berth in Jamestown the clients have free parking for 2+ weeks at Conanicut marina’s offsite yard. They also provide a driver to bring us back and forth to the cars so no taxi’s or Ubers required. I usually offer to drive the client's cars to the lot and have the marina staff take me back to boat so guests can relax onboard while I move cars.
Delivery cost from Jamestown to Sag would be an extra days work as I would need 3hrs underway to Sag then rest of day would be wash down and detailing before guests would arrive. So that would be $400 extra for delivery to Sag and potentially dockage cost. Jamestown to Sag would take about 300g of fuel round trip so would have to add that to total fuel bill. Current diesel fuel price is $4.85/g so would equal $1,455 in fuel just for delivery. (27 May 2024)
AYCA contract - Uninspected Passenger Vessel Agreement (up to 6 pax)
Recreational Bareboat Charter Agreement and Vessel Services Agreement for 6-12 pax
Med Term pricing is cost (cost of the boat) + VAT (country tax) + APA (operating and provisioning expenses). The cost is the weekly rate for the charter. The VAT and APA are calculated on the cost of the boat and paid in addition to that base price. The APA covers: fuel, water, food, licenses, alcohol, and any specific items you would like provided to you. APA money that is not used for provisioning would be reimbursed to you- or, if you spend over the amount, they would charge you. The Captain keeps track of expenses and would let you know if you’re reaching your APA limit. This is the industry standard for the region.
Caribbean Terms or Caribbean Inclusions refer to all-inclusive rates. These boats are typically catamarans and monohulls and are found in the Caribbean.
Most (but not all) motor-yachts and sailing vessels in the Med are Med Rate terms.
The yachts featured on our website will specifically state which type of pricing they offer.
