CHIEF STEWARDESS- WHITNEY SUTHERLAND- AMERICAN
Whitney brings seven years of dedicated yachting experience and a strong hospitality background to her role as Chief Stewardess. Having worked aboard a range of private and charter vessels across Florida, New England, and the Bahamas, she’s known for her exceptional service standards, creative tablescapes, and her ability to maintain a beautifully organized interior no matter the itinerary. With experience running full interior programs, managing provisioning, and hosting themed events, Whitney ensures every guest onboard feels welcomed and completely cared for.
Away from the yacht, Whitney enjoys spending time outdoors, staying active, and exploring new coastal destinations, always finding inspiration she brings back to her work onboard. Luis brings over six years of experience to his role as First Mate, having worked his way up through the ranks from deckhand to a solid second-in-command on busy charter programs. Originally from Mexico, he got his start in the industry after formal maritime training, quickly building hands-on experience across the Bahamas, Florida, and the Caribbean. Known for his strong work ethic and calm, capable approach on deck, Luis is equally confident running tenders, managing operations, or supporting the captain.
ENGINEER/DECKHAND- STEPHEN SIMPSON- CANADIAN
Stephen is a Canadian-born engineer and all-round crew member who has been in the yachting industry since 2022, building experience across both private and charter vessels up to 72m. He got his start as a sole deckhand, quickly expanding into engineering, dive instruction, and refit support, giving him a well-rounded, hands-on skillset onboard.
With a strong background in both engine room operations and deck work, Stephen is known for jumping in wherever needed, whether that’s troubleshooting systems, supporting guest activities, or assisting during yard periods.
Outside of work, he enjoys diving, camping, photography, and anything that gets him outdoors, with a natural sense of adventure that’s stuck with him since his early days in Scouts.
