Captain
Robin Mobbs
Captain Mobbs, or affectionately known as Mobbsie is a true blue Aussie.
He comes from the shores of the sun drenched beaches of the Gold Coast on the eastern coast of Australia.
After becoming a Paramedic for more than 10 years, Mobbsie received his first taste of boating life when he was selected to join the Gold Coast Water Police. He became part of an Emergency Response Crew, who were in charge of search and rescue in the region. During this time, he gained the experience leading to qualifications to hold a Commercial Captains Licence during the next 9 years.
In 1999, Mobbsie was given an opportunity to come to the British Virgin Islands and work as part of a delivery crew that would zig zag up and down the Caribbean, covering thousands of miles on a multitude of various sailing boats. A year later he finally received a chance to Captain a charter yacht which carried on for 10 years, here in the BVI's
He loves these islands and its people and especially loved sharing these beautiful places with guests from such different backgrounds. The stories, the food, the culture, the hidden little secrets that these islands have to offer all made it so rewarding as a Captain.
Lifetime adventures for old and new friends that would become retold stories long into the future.
Whether diving with turtles, climbing the highest peak, sailing in these pristine waters, or just sitting around soaking up the sunsets with friends is where he longs to be.
