Born and raised in beautiful Kwa-Zulu Natal where he inherited his father’s love of the great outdoors! After returning from the Angolan War and nearly a decade in the Educational Department Chris moved to the United States in 1999 to seek fortune and fame! Soon he found it on Yachts with open horizons, plenty of blue water, sunshine and exotic landscapes! During the last 23 years Chris captained Motor Yachts ranging from 35m -56m in various locations around the globe, completing several transatlantic crossings. His professional voyages took him to many famous destinations spread throughout the Caribbean, Med and both North and South America. Chris has been recognized for his great boat handling and outstanding guest relations making sure MY Romeo Foxtrot’s guest preferences, safety and well-being are his upmost priority. He is very dedicated to both his guests and crew. While not attending to his professional duties, Chris enjoys diving, fishing, reading and indulging in great world cuisine.

Chief Stewardess - Alex Estko- Polish
Alex joined yachting industry in 2007 while completing her degree in Journalism. Her love of the written word and the need for creative expression never left her as she passionately pursued her career working on yachts in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, USA, Middle East and Southeast Asia. Since 2009 she has worked as a Chief Stewardess on yachts ranging from 35m to 56m. Recognized for her keen eye for detail, excellent organizational and hospitality skills, Alex ensures MY Romeo Foxtrot’s guests are well looked after and pampered while on board. She is equipped with a wide range of skills and experiences in luxury lifestyle management and event planning, meeting our guest’s highest expectations. Additionally, she assists her husband, and Captain, Chris with the day-to-day Yacht’s administration and accounting. Alex loves reading, traveling, fashion, interior design and great world class cuisine.


Rotational Chief Stewardess - Charise Smith - South African
Charise is 23 years old, psychology graduate from Johannesburg, South Africa.She is very passionate about her studies and planning to further her education in a couple of years. Charise joined yachting industry recently and she is very excited about this new chapter of her life. As she expresses in her own words: “This boat has already taught me so much and I would like to use this experience as a base to further my studies in doing my masters on Mental Health on board. I am very social and have a passion for people and look forward to the collection of experiences on this exceptional boat.”

Mate- Brad Gericke- South African
Born and raised in South Africa’s Cape Winelands, Bradd developed a deep connection to nature and wildlife from a young age. Growing up, he spent countless hours on the water with his father, learning everything from fishing and diving to watersports—an upbringing that naturally led him into a career in yachting.

With over 3.5 years of experience, Bradd brings strong deck maintenance skills to the team, along with solid Bahamas cruising knowledge and hands-on experience supporting guest activities, including fishing and diving. He has cruised extensively throughout the Caribbean and along the U.S. East Coast, spending significant time in New England, and has also completed a season in the Mediterranean.

Bradd thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys being part of a hardworking deck team. His background in rugby, hockey, and international kickboxing has shaped his disciplined work ethic and positive, team-focused mindset. Friendly and approachable, he looks forward to helping create memorable guest experiences onboard.


2nd Stew- Shani Nel- South African
After completing her degree at age 23, Shani quickly realized that her true passion was not confined to the classroom. With a curious mind and adventurous spirit, she decided to trade her chalkboard for the ocean and pursue a career in yachting. Her background in education has given her a unique set of skills- patience, clear communication and the ability to adapt to any situation with ease. She brings a fresh perspective to the role of stewardess, combining her love for service with a natural ability to connect with people. Her soft spoken demeanor paired with an infectious laugh puts everyone to ease, whether she's serving guests or chatting with the crew.

Deckhand- Justin Pols- South African
Hailing from South Africa, Justin brings enthusiasm, hands-on skills, and a strong work ethic to Romeo Foxtrot. With experience spanning private and charter yachts in both the Caribbean/USA and the Mediterranean, he’s well-versed in tender operations, maintenance, fishing excursions, and guest activities. His favorite boating destination is the stunning waters of Palma de Mallorca, where he loves exploring hidden coves. Off the deck, Justin enjoys fishing, surfing, golf, diving, and carpentry—and fun fact: he’s also a passionate cook who loves preparing meals for friends and family!

Chef-Ron Johnson
Born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas, Chef Ron brings a wealth of culinary expertise and creativity to the yachting world. A graduate of Johnson & Wales University, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Culinary Arts with concentrations in Leadership and History, along with an MBA in Hospitality and Event Leadership. His career spans over two decades, from apprenticeships at world-renowned resorts like Atlantis and Café Martinique under Jean-Georges Vongerichten, to leading roles as a private and yacht chef across the Bahamas, Caribbean, and U.S.

Chef Ron has cooked for elite families, luxury estates, and high-profile charters, celebrated for his versatility in cuisine—from refined multi-course dining to fresh, local island fare. Beyond the galley, Ron is a history major with a love for writing poetry, a passion that reflects in his thoughtful approach to crafting menus and dishes that tell a story. With accolades including gold medals with the Bahamas National Culinary Team and recognition as a Chef of the Year nominee, he continues to delight guests with cuisine that is as artful as it is memorable.

Engineer- Bryce Meyer- South African
Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, Bryce developed a strong work ethic and passion for engineering from a young age. He qualified in Mechanical Engineering and brings a well-rounded engineering background to his role on board MY Romeo Foxtrot.

Bryce is responsible for supporting the smooth and safe operation of the yacht’s technical systems, with a strong focus on preventative maintenance, fault finding, and reliability. With an all-round approach to engineering and a calm, practical mindset, he ensures that the vessel operates efficiently while maintaining a high standard of safety and performance.

In addition to his engineering duties, Bryce also takes on a deck engineer role during charters, working directly with guests and supporting on-deck operations when required. His approachable nature, teamwork ethic, and strong work ethic make him a valuable link between the technical and guest service sides of the yacht.

Outside of work, Bryce enjoys fishing, scuba diving, playing golf, and discovering new destinations. He has a strong appreciation for sport, having played rugby and tennis, and enjoys staying active and engaged both on and off the water.

  • Standard ship’s bar: vodka, gin, rum, whiskey, tequila, triple sec, mixers, local beers, table wine and water/coffee/tea and soft drinks
  • Stereo with MP3/iPhone connection with indoor/outdoor speakers; 3G/4G Wi-Fi access point
  • Snorkeling equipment, fishing gear, kayaks, dingy tender with outboard motors
  • Water toys such as floating islands, and air mattresses
  • Separate bathroom and living quarters for crew
  • Reputable and licensed crew who have local knowledge of waters and are able to adjust menus based on guest’s preferences and dietary restrictions
