Captain Rory Callahan - American

Captain Rory Callahan was born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut. Growing up along the shores of New England and Long Island Sound, he spent his childhood fishing, sailing, and exploring tidal pools and rugged coastlines, which fostered a deep connection to the sea.

The rich maritime traditions of New England, along with his family's longstanding maritime heritage, ignited Rory’s passion for navigation and a life at sea. This love for the ocean led him to a career as a yacht engineer, where he honed his technical skills before ultimately becoming a yacht captain. Today, he shares his expertise and passion for the maritime life with clients from around the world, guiding them on unique ocean adventures.

Rory graduated from Hamden High School, where he excelled in several AP-level classes and placed first in the Connecticut Latin competition during his senior year. He was also actively involved on both the ice hockey and lacrosse teams, winning lacrosse state championships in 2007. At Central Connecticut State University, Rory for a bachelor’s in science (Biology) but ultimately chose to return to the sea, embracing the maritime lifestyle that had shaped his upbringing.

He ran multiple deliveries up and down the east coast, from Florida to New England. During that time, he interviewed with multiple privately owned yachts for a full-time captain position. Captain Rory now works as the full-time captain on NO CURFEW managing a busy charter program, with a crew of four total.

Katie Folkening - American

Katie Folkening was born in Springfield, Virginia, while her dad worked at the Pentagon as a Major and fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force, and her mom ran juvenile detention departments and taught with a specialization in special education. She has two older sisters. Katie was raised in Texas from 18 months old until graduating high school at 18, alongside her sisters. Growing up in Texas fostered her love and passion for southern hospitality, nature, and the resilience of life in the desert. Katie graduated in 2015 from a Texas high school and attended Purdue University, where she originally studied forensic psychology before transitioning to a degree in hospitality, tourism, and management. She has also pursued numerous certifications in marine operations and management as part of her yachting career, including her ongoing work towards her motor yacht captain's license.

Katie’s passion for the ocean and travel led her into the yachting industry, where she first started as a Stew/cook/deckhand combined role. This early exposure to the marine environment ignited her drive to pursue a captain’s license and further her expertise in yachting. Katie has worked on a range of vessels, gaining firsthand knowledge of yacht management, crew leadership, and high-end client service.

In her free time, Katie enjoys painting, snorkeling, and traveling to new destinations. Her love for wildlife and the ocean drives her desire to explore different ecosystems and learn more about sustainable marine practices.

Mate - Ryan Corrick

Mate Ryan Corrick was born in Ormond Beach, Florida and raised in Port St Lucie, where he spent all his free time on the water and in the ocean. This nurtured a deep love of the water that shaped the course of his life.

Ryan attended the Marine and Oceanographic Academy, studying marine biology, limnology, oceanography and more while utilizing the
facilities at Florida Atlantic University’s world renowned Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute. He spent more time exploring the Indian River
Lagoon and the local ecosystem than he did in a classroom, a true Floridian education. In his free time he fished the flats and mangroves of
the IRL system and founded his high school sailing team, sailing an international 420 dinghy and competing in many regattas across the state.

Ryan obtained a bachelors degree from Florida State University in international relations and a minor in geography. Immediately following
graduation he turned away from aspirations of law school back to his true passion, the water. His soul could not ignore the call of the sea. Since then his work has taken him up and down the East Coast from Maine to Key West, The Bahamas, and as far west as Washington and Alaska.

Rates are Plus Expenses
Rates:
$ 49,000 low season
$ 55,000 high season (July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)

Med Term pricing is cost (cost of the boat) + VAT (country tax) + APA (operating and provisioning expenses). The cost is the weekly rate for the charter. The VAT and APA are calculated on the cost of the boat and paid in addition to that base price. The APA covers: fuel, water, food, licenses, alcohol, and any specific items you would like provided to you. APA money that is not used for provisioning would be reimbursed to you- or, if you spend over the amount, they would charge you. The Captain keeps track of expenses and would let you know if you’re reaching your APA limit. This is the industry standard for the region.

Caribbean Terms or Caribbean Inclusions refer to all-inclusive rates. These boats are typically catamarans and monohulls and are found in the Caribbean.

Most (but not all) motor-yachts and sailing vessels in the Med are Med Rate terms.

The yachts featured on our website will specifically state which type of pricing they offer.
