MATE | Cortland (Kelly) Bunyan | American
Cortland, known to most as Kelly, grew up amid the vibrant, lush seascape of St Vincent & The Grenadines, where he began his maritime journey at just 15 working on cargo vessels. After moving to the United States, he transitioned into the yachting world, drawn by his love of travel and the freedom of life on the water.
Since joining SKY in 2023, Cortland has brought his easy-going nature, approachable manner, and steady professionalism to every deck duty.
Passionate about continuous growth, he thrives on meeting new people and learning new skills along the way. His favourite spot on board is the top deck: A spacious, sun-drenched space perfect for watching sunsets or starting the day with a sunrise coffee.
For first-time charter guests, Cortland’s advice is simple: Relax, let loose, and enjoy the service and good times.
CHIEF STEWARDESS | Sabrina Lopez | Argentinian
Sabrina’s career began in hospitality on land before she found her calling in yachting, where she has learnt to combine organisation, teamwork, and adaptability. She takes pride in delivering thoughtful service and maintaining the highest standards in every detail, ensuring guests feel both comfortable and cared for throughout their time aboard SKY.
Known for her positivity and calm energy, Sabrina brings a sense of care and warmth to everything she does. She loves working on a yacht with such a strong, supportive crew and helping to create an environment where guests can truly relax. Seeing people happy and at ease is what motivates her most.
Her advice to first time charterers: Trust the crew, unwind completely, and let yourself enjoy every moment.
STEWARDESS | Sofya Akilova | Russian
Born and raised in Russia, Sofya moved to the United States after acquiring a degree in English language and literature. She continued her education at Salisbury State University, pivoting to a Bachelor of Science, majoring in biology and minoring in chemistry. With over 20 years of experience in hospitality—from bartending and mixology to managing teams—and more than five years as a stewardess, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to life aboard SKY.
Sofya thrived in fast-paced environments and loves creating memories for guests, whether through impeccable service, thoughtful touches, or sharing her passion for food.
A foodie at heart, one of her favourite spaces on board is the galley. She loves to cook, and is looking to expand her already impressively wide education with culinary training.
She is always excited to explore new waters, but one of her favourite destinations is Turks & Caicos, the Florida Keys, and The Bahamas. A keen photographer, you’ll often find Sofya behind the lens, capturing stunning seascapes, sunrises, and sunsets to remember the journey by.
Her advice for the first-time charterer: pack light and plan ahead. Be flexible with your itinerary in case of poor weather conditions, and communicate your likes and dislikes early so the crew can create the very best experience just for you.
CHEF | Freelance
~7% tax applies to all Florida charters.
35% APA
Med Term pricing is cost (cost of the boat) + VAT (country tax) + APA (operating and provisioning expenses). The cost is the weekly rate for the charter. The VAT and APA are calculated on the cost of the boat and paid in addition to that base price. The APA covers: fuel, water, food, licenses, alcohol, and any specific items you would like provided to you. APA money that is not used for provisioning would be reimbursed to you- or, if you spend over the amount, they would charge you. The Captain keeps track of expenses and would let you know if you’re reaching your APA limit. This is the industry standard for the region.
Caribbean Terms or Caribbean Inclusions refer to all-inclusive rates. These boats are typically catamarans and monohulls and are found in the Caribbean.
Most (but not all) motor-yachts and sailing vessels in the Med are Med Rate terms.
The yachts featured on our website will specifically state which type of pricing they offer.
