Anthony Fouché - Captain of M/Y Southern Sky

Hailing from a coastal city, Anthony's lifelong connection to the sea has been both profound and enduring. Growing up near the water, he developed exceptional skills in powerboat racing and mastered the challenges of navigating complex coastal waters from a young age.

In 2017, Anthony transformed his passion for boating into a professional career in the yachting industry. Through perseverance and determination, he steadily advanced, gaining invaluable experience aboard vessels up to 360 feet in length. In 2020, he earned his commercially endorsed Yachtmaster certification for vessels up to 200 gross tonnes. By the age of 22, Anthony achieved the remarkable milestone of taking command of a luxury yacht, a position he continues to hold with pride.

An adventurer at heart, Anthony embraces his love for the ocean both professionally and personally. He is an avid diver, spearfisher, and fisherman, dedicating his leisure time to exploring the sea’s depths and seeking new adrenaline-filled experiences.

With an unwavering commitment to excellence, Anthony brings his deep passion for the sea to every aspect of his role, ensuring that guests aboard Southern Sky enjoy extraordinary and unforgettable experiences.

Milé Uys - Chef and Mate aboard M/Y Southern Sky

Milé brings a unique blend of culinary expertise, hospitality, and a passion for adventure to her role as chef and mate aboard motor yacht Southern Sky.

Her journey began in a charming wine village, where her love for exploration and travel was first ignited. Over the years, Milé has embarked on numerous voyages, collecting passport stamps and savoring local cuisines from around the world. As an avid ‘foodie,’ she channels the flavors and aromas of her travels into her kitchen, creating dishes that tell a story and delight the senses.

A lively and active individual, Milé boldly transitioned from a career as a Junior Marketing Manager to embrace a life on the water. This change allowed her to combine her love for the ocean, hiking, swimming, and snorkeling with her culinary talents.

With nearly three years of experience as a stewardess, Milé has worked in coastal destinations such as the Mediterranean, the East Coast of the United States, and the idyllic Bahamas. Her dedication to hospitality shines through in her ability to connect deeply with guests, ensuring their journey is more than just a vacation but a truly unforgettable experience.

I can't say enough about the crew at Southern Yacht Charters!
Gaida M Cabral I can't say enough about the crew at Southern Yacht Charters! From the moment we stepped aboard, we were welcomed with open arms and smiles. They made every part of our trip fun, relaxing, and beyond memorable. The crew's attentiveness was incredible; they anticipated our needs before we even asked. Whether we were lounging in the sun, exploring hidden coves, or enjoying a gourmet meal on deck, they made sure every detail was perfect. Southern Yacht Charters exceeded all our expectations, and we can’t wait for our next adventure with them. Highly recommended!
Best day ever!!
Chris Torrence Best day ever!! Amazing experience for a little extended fam vacay in HHI. Our last day on the island couldn't have been better. Being out on the catamaran was the absolute icing on the cake to a memorable trip. Big thanks to Jonathan and his wonderful crew. Easy breezy booking and great communication. All requests were made with a smile, above & beyond. Capt Anthony and Mile' made the experience even better. And the kids (7 & 12) enjoyed every minute. Between the blow-up slide and tubing, they had the time of their lives. Surely a day we'll all cherish!
Sunday Afternoon
Trevor Seay Spent a Sunday afternoon aboard the beautiful catamaran with my wife, daughter, and another couple we were vacationing with. Anthony (Captain) and Mile (Mate) great, even though we had two babies on board, they helped us unwind and relax after a busy week. The service was phenomenal and the boat was exactly as described. I will definitely be booking with John and Southern Yacht Charters next time I'm in town! I'm also looking forward to potentially booking a winter trip to the Bahamas on board when that time of year rolls around!
Do This!
Aronson Kagiliery When someone says dream vacation- this is what they mean! From the moment we stepped onto the Southern Sky we were in awe. From the amazing meals, the blissful hours spent laying in the beanbag chair to the excursions and time as a family this was a magnificent experience! The cabins were comfortable, the yacht was spacious and none of us wanted to leave! We loved the snorkeling, the excursions, the interaction with Mile and Anthony and the freshest seafood ever! We didn’t even use all of the water toys! The question is not should you do this? The question is when should you do this!
Wow what an experience!
Richard S Wow what an experience. It's very rare to find a full day experience that 3 generations can enjoy, but this was definitely one. The grandparents moved from the bean bags up front to the air conditioned interior to the shaded dining area in back and could watch all the excitement with minimal steps involved. The kids all had room to do their own thing, the girls moved from the sun pad up top to the SUP boards (my daughter would probably sleep on one if we let her) and the boys used the slide and canoes till they were exhausted then did some tubing off the back of the dinghy. As for the wife and I Mile` fixes a mean mojito or whatever else we were game for. Lastly, the food, the pics don't do it justice. We had the low country boil and it alone was almost worth the price of admission. Will definitely do this again, hopefully the water will be a bit warmer this time :)
