CAPTAIN
Rodrigo Pizzarro Marquez

Born and raised in a charming Uruguayan neighborhood, Rodrigo spent his early years barefoot, climbing trees, and playing in the streets with friends. But even then, it was clear where his true passion lay—anything with an engine or that could float. That passion led him to maritime studies at university, and as soon as he graduated, he stepped onto his first vessel, beginning a career that would take him around the globe—from the icy waters of Antarctica to the North Sea and the sun-drenched islands of the Aegean.

Rodrigo’s professional journey began over 17 years ago as a marine engineer. Starting from the ground up as a mechanic, he steadily rose through the ranks—third engineer, second engineer, and eventually achieving the highest certification as a Commercial Chief Engineer Unlimited. His career has given him both hands-on technical expertise and a deep understanding of vessel operations and crew management.

His experience spans a wide variety of vessels, including small boats, cargo ships, tugboats, research vessels, offshore vessels (such as guard, chase, and seismic ships), and hybrid diesel-electric dredgers. In 2016, Rodrigo transitioned into the superyacht industry, where he has spent nearly a decade refining his skills and adapting his vast experience to the high standards of luxury maritime service.

Rodrigo’s passion for the sea extends far beyond the engine room. With a deep love for sailing, he pursued his Yachtmaster Offshore certification and continues to build on that knowledge. Whether he’s skippering, kitesurfing, swimming, or simply watching dolphins play in the bow wave at sunset, his connection to the ocean is unwavering.

With a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and guest experience, Rodrigo brings exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and heartfelt enthusiasm to every charter.

Certifications:

CHEF
Alys Servini

Having grown up with both Welsh and Italian heritage, chef Alys has always felt that cooking was a part of her—an inherited passion rooted in family and tradition. Surrounded by incredible food and sweet treats from an early age, she learned that the kitchen is the true heart of any home. Her first taste of hospitality came as a teenager working in her father's café, where she discovered the joy of making someone’s day better with a smile and a cup of coffee.

Alys went on to study Fine Art and Art History at university, a background that continues to inspire her culinary creativity. Her eye for colour and composition shines through in every beautifully plated dish she serves.

Before becoming a chef, Alys worked as a stewardess on superyachts, where she developed a deep understanding of luxury service, precision, and organization. Yet it was always the galley that drew her in—chatting with chefs, imagining menus, and daydreaming about ingredients.

That passion eventually led her back to what she loves most: creating unforgettable meals with her hands and heart. Now, Alys brings her artistic flair, warm hospitality, and love of food to every table, aiming to craft a dining experience that leaves a lasting.

February 2025
Thank you for the incredible week. We were blown away starting at our first step on the boat by the welcoming crew and beautiful boat. Each day on the trip was accompanied by delicious meals by Elif, which were all well prepared, planned and full of flavor. While sailing Milla took the time to teach our group to sail and made us feel part of the crew. Our favorite stops through out the trip were Anegada and Virgin Gorda - Tipsy’s was such a fun spot! This will forever be on the top of our trips. We are forever grateful to have experienced sailing on the Apricity.
February 2025
Thanks for the around the world experiences - from the drinks to the food to the cheers (cheers, skål, serefe, sagligimiza, kippis, salute, huzzah). While the wind was strong, we cruised right along. But you didn’t steer us wrong. All the stops were the tops, and the drinks really rocked. The meals were the deals, and you really set our mood, with the amazing food! The tables were set with blingy, and you gave us rides in your dingy. This trip went fast, but it won’t be our last.
February 2025
We cannot thank you enough for making our week in the BVI so incredible! From the moment we stopped onboard, you created an experience that was not only seamless but beyond anything we could have imagined. Every detail, from the thoughtful itinerary to amazing meals - was perfect. We loved every snorkel spot, every stunning view, and every moment of simply soaking in the beauty of the islands. And our adventures of saving baby goats and sneaking conch shells onboard will definitely go down as highlights. It was clear how much care and expertise went into planning our journey, and we truly appreciate it. Beyond that, getting to know you both and seeing your passion firsthand was a special part of the trip. Your warmth, energy, and love for what you do made all the difference, and we feel so lucky to have shared this adventure with you. Thank you again for everything - you made this week one we will never forget! Wishing you smooth sailing and we hope our paths cross again someday.

December 2024
Dear Milla and Elif, Thank you for hosting us on the most special vacation. You both have a heart of service. You give with joy. This made our trip! Milla, you really paid attention to the things that mattered to us and were so invested in making each day a special adventure. You do your work with love, flexibility, and playfulness. Even though you were working so hard you made it look fun. I think that makes a mast captain. Also, I felt very safe with you. You were careful and thoughtful in your decision making. Elif, you delighted us with such a range of foods. Sitting down to a beautifully prepared table time and again brought our family rest and connection. Thank you for managing the gluten free needs. Thank you for taking on that extra work with good spirit. We will always remember the special brownies that your surprised us with. I hope you both will treasure this year in paradise working alongside each other. We will think of you often and hope that God will bring us together again for another adventure. I hope both of your dreams come true. My blessings to your future.
June 2025
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! We had such a wonderful week together in the BVI!! Sam - your meals were exceptional, some of the best we have ever had, and we like to eat! I hope you open a restaurant one day (and save a reservation for us). Adam - your thoughtfulness and patience was on full display. You took us to some of the most beautiful places in the world - and made them even better with your company. We will be back again!!
May 2025
This was out first time sailing in the BVIs . . . or taking any boating vacation at all for that matter, and it was absolutely heavenly. The surroundings were, of course, stunning, but it was Samantha and Adam that made the experience so wonderful for our family. They were there 100% for everything and anything we needed, but it was their warmth, kindness, sense of humor and overall positive energy that made our adventure as good as it was. We want them to come back to California with us! Samantha’s skills as a chef are RIDICULOUSLY GOOD, and we felt confident and secure with Adam at the helm. Thank you for EVERYTHING YOU TWO!
The Clark Family
Our time aboard Luna Bliss was nothing short of incredible, thanks to Captain Cash and Chef Samantha! From the moment we stepped on board, they catered to our every need, ensuring a perfect balance of fun, relaxation, and adventure. Captain Cash expertly navigated us through an unforgettable itinerary, getting us to all the experiences we had on our list—scuba diving, Anegada, the Full Moon Party, and The Baths—while also introducing us to hidden gems like the Michael Bean Show and e-foiling at Saba Rock. Her skill in sailing and anchoring made us feel completely at ease, allowing us to soak in the beauty of the islands without a worry. Chef Samantha blew us away with her incredible culinary skills! She not only created delicious meals that exceeded our expectations but also carefully accommodated our dietary preferences (limited dairy and no corn for one guest) without ever compromising on flavor. Every meal was a treat, and we were constantly amazed by her creativity in the galley. Luna Bliss provided the perfect setting for a family adventure, and the combination of their shared expertise and hospitality made it a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you're looking for a charter that goes above and beyond, this is it! We can't recommend them enough and are already dreaming of our next trip!

I hope you open a restaurant one day (and save a reservation for us). Adam - your thoughtfulness and patience was on full display. You took us to some of the most beautiful places in the world - and made them even better with your company. We will be back again!!
