He later served as both Maintenance Director and Captain for a pair of Santa Cruz 70s in Monterey Bay, where he spent two years overseeing operations and delivering unforgettable sailing experiences.

He holds a 100 Ton Near Coastal Master License with STCW, Sail, and Assistance Towing endorsements, and places the highest priority on safety, service, and guest enjoyment. Captain Sam and Carrie - We looked forward to this vacation for six months and all our expectations were blown away! We had sooo much fun snorkeling, visiting the beaches, and eating all the yummy food. Adrian and Dylan experienced so many firsts...from swimming with the turtles to kissing their first salt-water fish. Thank you so much for working around our schedule and helping us track down our friends in the BVI. Your patience with the kids went beyond...the harmonica will definitely make it to this year's Christmas lists! Really hope we get to repeat this in the not-to-distant future!

You know it's a great sign of an amazing trip when you never know what day it is! From the moment we stepped foot on La Speranza, we were amazed!
The snorkeling was the best we have ever seen. It made it more magical to have Capt'n Sam join us for a lobster find or a speared lion fish. We saw incredible creatures and loved every second.
Sam and Carrie, you made sure we had everything we needed and always surprised us with a little extra, like a tube ride on the dingy or fishing for tarpon or going for our first night snorkel.
The food was fantastic and you made sure there were choices for all of us! Sam even removed all the gluten from things for us! Ha!
The boat was beautiful and very comfortable. We were able to rest, relax and have adventures.
We hope to keep in touch with you both and hear about your excursions and travels. Thanks for letting us be part of your boat family!

What are "Med Rates" or "Med Terms?"
Med Term pricing is cost (cost of the boat) + VAT (country tax) + APA (operating and provisioning expenses). The cost is the weekly rate for the charter. The VAT and APA are calculated on the cost of the boat and paid in addition to that base price. The APA covers: fuel, water, food, licenses, alcohol, and any specific items you would like provided to you. APA money that is not used for provisioning would be reimbursed to you- or, if you spend over the amount, they would charge you. The Captain keeps track of expenses and would let you know if you’re reaching your APA limit. This is the industry standard for the region.
Caribbean Terms or Caribbean Inclusions refer to all-inclusive rates. These boats are typically catamarans and monohulls and are found in the Caribbean.
Most (but not all) motor-yachts and sailing vessels in the Med are Med Rate terms.

Captain Sean discovered a love for the ocean at an early age while sailing with his father, setting the course for a lifelong connection to the sea. After a brief time away from the water, he returned to sailing in the San Francisco Bay, where he quickly immersed himself in both racing and charter work.
Since 2018, he has worked with USA76, a former America’s Cup IACC yacht, gaining invaluable experience aboard one of the sport’s most iconic vessels. His maritime background also includes commercial fishing in Alaska, sport fish guiding, and time aboard large private yachts. He later served as both Maintenance Director and Captain for a pair of Santa Cruz 70s in Monterey Bay, where he spent two years overseeing operations and delivering unforgettable sailing experiences.
Now based in the Caribbean, Captain Sean brings his expertise, enthusiasm, and easygoing nature to every charter. He holds a 100 Ton Near Coastal Master License with STCW, Sail, and Assistance Towing endorsements, and places the highest priority on safety, service, and guest enjoyment. His philosophy as a captain is simple: create a fun, relaxed atmosphere where everyone can laugh, connect, and fully embrace the beauty and adventure of island life.

Captain Sam and Carrie - We looked forward to this vacation for six months and all our expectations were blown away! We had sooo much fun snorkeling, visiting the beaches, and eating all the yummy food. Adrian and Dylan experienced so many firsts...from swimming with the turtles to kissing their first salt-water fish. Thank you so much for working around our schedule and helping us track down our friends in the BVI. Your patience with the kids went beyond...the harmonica will definitely make it to this year's Christmas lists! Really hope we get to repeat this in the not-to-distant future!

Trip of a lifetime! My kids have all said that this trip has moved into the #1 spot on the Family Favorites. We checked off all our "to-do" items and listened to your wisdom and added a few more. Food was awesome, snorkeling was incredible, fun times around the table was a blast! You know it's a great sign of an amazing trip when you never know what day it is! From the moment we stepped foot on La Speranza, we were amazed!
The snorkeling was the best we have ever seen. It made it more magical to have Capt'n Sam join us for a lobster find or a speared lion fish. We saw incredible creatures and loved every second.
Sam and Carrie, you made sure we had everything we needed and always surprised us with a little extra, like a tube ride on the dingy or fishing for tarpon or going for our first night snorkel.
The food was fantastic and you made sure there were choices for all of us! Sam even removed all the gluten from things for us! Ha!
The boat was beautiful and very comfortable. We were able to rest, relax and have adventures.
We hope to keep in touch with you both and hear about your excursions and travels. Thanks for letting us be part of your boat family!

What are "Med Rates" or "Med Terms?"
Med Term pricing is cost (cost of the boat) + VAT (country tax) + APA (operating and provisioning expenses). The cost is the weekly rate for the charter. The VAT and APA are calculated on the cost of the boat and paid in addition to that base price. The APA covers: fuel, water, food, licenses, alcohol, and any specific items you would like provided to you. APA money that is not used for provisioning would be reimbursed to you- or, if you spend over the amount, they would charge you. The Captain keeps track of expenses and would let you know if you’re reaching your APA limit. This is the industry standard for the region.
Caribbean Terms or Caribbean Inclusions refer to all-inclusive rates. These boats are typically catamarans and monohulls and are found in the Caribbean.
Most (but not all) motor-yachts and sailing vessels in the Med are Med Rate terms.
