Jake is an experienced yachtsman, with an impressive sailing record having covered over 40000nm with 4 Atlantic crossings, dozens of Med crossings and plenty of yachting around the south coast of England. He started his sailing journey from a small island off of the south coast of the UK own called Hayling island. Jake starting dinghy sailing at 9 where he quickly progressed through the ranks to national junior champion and eventually representing GBR in many world champion events at youth level.
Over his 10 year career in yachting he has been working in the superyacht sector on racing yachts and high performance carbon yachts. His previous job as a 1st mate on a 148ft carbon yacht and 2 seasons on Adagio gave him vast experience in all types of conditions, environments and locations. His studies in the yachting industry has merited him with his Officer of the watch 3000gt which qualifies him to be an officer on yachts over 80m/262ft. Jake brings a wealth of experience, unwavering dedication and a genuine love for the sea. He guarantees a safe and memorable sailing experience for all that embark on his voyages.

Caitlin is a foodie. She loves making food and has an unrelenting desire to please people with it. She too has been working in the superyacht industry for over 8 years, spanning across the globe on a variety of different yachts. She too has completed 3 Atlantic crossing on sailing and motor yachts, with many thousands of miles under her belt.
Caitlin’s journey took an exciting turn when she had the opportunity to work under 2 incredible Italian chefs which filled her culinary arsenal with a touch of elegance and sophistication. Their mentorship helped shape her creativity and push her talents to another level. She was born in South Africa where she was raised by a family who loves a traditional “braai”. Her mother being Mauritian and her father from South Africa she, from a young age was surrounded by different cuisines and cultures. Besides her culinary skills she is irresistibly drawn to the sea and finds solace and inspiration from its depths. Cheffing is her passion so perusing it as a long term career seems to be the only option. Caitlin brings a desire to provide exquisite meals against the back drop of the beautiful Caribbean Sea.

Anna is a yacht stewardess from Surrey, UK, and one of six children, having grown up in a lively, close-knit family. Living on a farm has shaped who she is—she’s happiest outdoors, surrounded by nature and the people she loves. Active and energetic by nature, she has a passion for running, swimming, and getting to the gym as often as she can. Staying fit and spending time outside are both central parts of her everyday life.
Travel is another major aspect of her identity. Working at sea has given her the opportunity to explore beautiful destinations around the world, and she loves experiencing new environments, cultures, and coastlines. Overall, she is grounded, hardworking, family-oriented, and always ready for a new adventure.
Over the past four years, she has worked on superyachts, gaining truly unforgettable experiences. She has travelled to incredible destinations and witnessed some of the most stunning sunsets and sunrises imaginable. Throughout her time at sea, she has enjoyed looking after wonderful guests and creating memorable moments for them. One of her favourite parts of the job is hosting—she has organised a variety of themed evenings that were not only fun to create but also brought joy to everyone on board. She also loves crafting cocktails and strives to deliver the highest level of service, ensuring guests have the best experience possible.

NYE 2025 BVI Charter
How many stars is one able to give before they become meaningless? Out of 5 stars, I give the crew, the boat and the charter company a 10+. I’ll start with the boat: absolutely stunning. Gorgeous inside and out, the details are elegant and impeccable (according to my very untrained eye) and the feeling is elevated comfort with the right amount of luxury to feel special. I never once felt like I was camping or crowded or that I even wanted to get off the boat (I would still like to be back on the boat). We only learned later how the crew and charter company moved heaven and earth and called in every favor to to get the essentials needed for a charter, much of it borrowed. Everything from the bedding to decorative table scapes to never seeming to run out of wine glasses somehow was seamless. We had no idea how it all came together at the last minute. Which may be due to the crew. The level of professionalism, expertise, and composure on a brand new boat on its very first charter, and first charter as a team, was top notch. When including three great personalities, you truly have the A-team crewing the Minted One. Their ability to manage our group of middle aged motley crew who don’t know how to act our ages with patience and grace was perfect. We had some ridiculous requests, in particular with the planning and execution of a surprise birthday party and the crew absolutely blew us out of the water with the way they embraced the request and executed flawlessly. From the outset Captain Jake was very personable, direct, clearly knowledgeable and dealt with our many requests with a great attitude. He also demonstrated great leadership by stepping in and supporting his team where needed. He was fun to have as our Captain and answered ALL of our questions about everything. To call the meals prepared by Chef Caitlin amazing does not do them justice. The food was incredible! I don’t want to say too much or future charter guests won’t ever want to dine off the boat, but she did in fact serve the single best fish meal OF MY LIFE, and the Thai Steak salad for lunch was easily on the top 5 of at least the last decade. There was another debate at lunch one day where Caitlyn’s delivery on gourmet cheeseburgers was the single best we’ve ever had - and Americans eat a lot of cheeseburgers. She paid exceptional attention to our preference sheets, accommodating each of our weird issues, and provided fresh, flavorful delicious dishes spanning a wide range of cuisines at every meal. I may not eat that well again for a very long time. I am convinced that Anna is a triplet and all 3 live on the boat, sharing her job. She has an unbelievable ability to simultaneously refill your coffee, set a perfect table, impeccably service your cabin and mix a mean Bloody Mary. All at the same time! How? And with a smile and such an even temperament that we never saw break. And we tested it! I never saw her sit down. She is highly professional and gracious, her extensive training on the “big boat, attention to detail and awesome personality shined brightly. We were so grateful to have this crew and sail on the Minted One for our trip. Captain Jake, Caitlin and Anna for making this happen for us. Don’t be surprised when you see us again! Best regards, Andi
Jake and Caitlin Past Reviews
May 2025 Jake and Caitlin made us feel like all our wishes came true. We were always at a perfectly fascinating spot at the right time. Our days were amazingly planned out, they felt long and satisfying. We did so much and yet feel like it was a super relaxing vacation. Every day was a surprise. Jake is a great captain and knows the BVIs really well, we always felt safe. Caitlin's cuisine was so wonderful, every meal was prepared with meticulous care, the flavors were amazing, the presentation spectacular. On top of that they were well balanced nutritionally. They were served without asking, at the perfect time between activities. While providing a wonderful service, it felt like they were invisible angels taking care of us. We felt like we were at home and not guests on Adagio. We pretty much surrendered all our decisions to their team, which made it the ultimate relaxation experience.
We now know that it is the crew that makes the trip. Thank you! April 2025 Jake and Cait - Thank you both so much for an amazing week!
