Capt Joe your skipper, owner and cook joined the US Navy at age 17 and has been Captaining ships ever since. He has run cruise ships, casino boats, worked in the oil industry, and the state run ferries in Louisiana, basically anything that floats he can drive. He moved to the BVI in 1999 and has been running a successful charter business since. Joe possibly runs one of the oldest charter businesses here in the BVI, needless to say his local knowledge and experience is second to none.

Michael is from the spice Island of Grenada, he also has worked on cruise ships (Star Clipper Line, P&O) and has traveled the world, Michael was running a ;local cargo boat when Irma shower her ugly face and ended up on the rocks of North Sound Virgin Gorda. Michael has been with Prime Time for over a year and loves taking the guests out with the tender, to dinner and drinks at night and fishing with the little ones from the back of the boat while at anchor (he does this most nights)

The crew want people to be comfortable, and act like they would at home, we are very laid back. Our Companies Motto has always been "Come as Guests...Leave as Friends..." that still holds true while running Prime Time but we have added a new one for the niche we plan on filling in this industry, "Yachting on a Beer Budget". With that mentality we also want our guests to "embrace the local culture", which is why we only do breakfast and lunches onboard we believe that a yacht charter here in the BVI is so much more than just being on a beautiful boat for 7 days. Your Crew wants you to enjoy the things that "we do", whether that be local BBQ or fish fry, drinks on the beach or just chilling on your own private beach we will make your time with us a memorable one.

Whether you choose to charter the entire yacht or join us for our monthly "cabin only charters" you will not be disappointed. The Yacht is totally comfortable and luxurious, the crews' attention to detail is what is expected in this industry and Joes' home cooked meals are maybe not as good as "Moms", but run a close second :)

Great time yachting around the BVI with our kind hosts Captain Ken & Julie of the Ruby One! Our group loved exploring Tortola, The Virgin Gorda Baths and Norman Island. Some other highlights were the gourmet meals prepared on board, the comfy accommodations, tasty cocktails and special time with family. Saba Rock was our favorite restaurant.. it’s built on a tiny island.. be sure to check out the upstairs bar and walk the grounds after dinner! The Ruby One is a beautiful yacht and we cannot recommend it enough!!
Birthday charter on PRIME TIME
Overall we had a wonderful experience. Captain Joe was very helpful weeks leading up to our departure with modes of transportation and our numerous questions regarding our upcoming trip. Once aboard he was very knowledgeable about the area and had many stories and information to share. First Mate, Mike was always available and would take us by tender to our shore destinations and guide us and give us all the help, or time we needed. We had two young children with us and he was engaging and helpful with their needs. Unfortunately, we only had 4 days, but Captain Joe got us to almost all of the places we wanted to see. Of course, Virgin Gorda Baths was a highlight and lucky us, no cruise ships..... we had most of the place to ourselves, it was incredible. The walk down and adventurous path returning was just beautiful and the water was what dreams are made of, A wonderful restaurant on Norman Island right down from the famous Willy T's Pirate Ship Bar is The Pirates Bight. Absolutely wonderful dinner there with top notch service and music. Captain Joe timed things very well for us so we avoided crowds and got to really get a feel for these outstandingly beautiful Islands and the island life. Also provided was all of the liquor you could possibly want, very well stocked, which he took our requests ahead of time to assure all were happy. Also, always water bottles and non-alcoholic options for those who desired. Breakfast was cooked up early and coffee by Joe and I was especially taken with his banana pancakes...highly recommend. The Prime Time is a beautiful yacht and the staterooms, all have their own bathroom and shower (Master has two bathrooms), many places inside and out to relax, lovely kitchen, dining and living room. We would highly recommend. Steve & Deb

Another fantastic trip! Captain Joe and Mike are so friendly, full of knowledge, and a great time! We wouldn’t travel on another boat in the BVI. Great food and drinks, and lots of laughs! Capt. Joe took us to all the spots on our list and a few more. If you have ever wanted to charter a boat to see the Islands, Prime Time is the only way to do it! Already looking to book again for next year.

A once in a lifetime experience! While the first class accommodations, amazing food, great daily scenery and evening stars were enough to blow you away, every day, Captain Joe would share historical and informative stories about all of the islands. Michael (your attentive concierge & second in command) would make sure you had a great experience on each stop! Perfect trip in all ways possible! Each island held great snorkeling, food and drink and beautiful sunsets… the crew, the boat and the islands were all beyond my expectations! My favorite adventure yet!! Thank you Joe and Michael for memories to last a lifetime!! It was the best!!!

Captain Joe and his first mate Mike were nothing short of fantastic hosts. They mapped out amazing excursions that they felt we couldn’t miss, and jam packed them to make sure we got to experience as much as we could in only 3 days. We had the best trip we could have imagined and it was like out of our dreams. The food was fantastic, the drinks were always ice cold and ready, the ships common quarters were always spotless. We’re already trying to figure out how we can get back down there again! I promise if you book with these guys you will NOT be disappointed. They made you feel like family and never heard the word “no” from either of them. Give these guys the opportunity to show you a trip of a lifetime. Thank you again Joe and Mike, we’ll be back for a full week next time.
Christmas week, 2019, aboard PRIME TIME - The guest said:
We spent a week with Joe and Mike on 'Prime Time', It was an amazing experience. There was ample toys on board for water sports ( wake-boarding, several stand-up paddle boards, sea-kayaks, etc), we also saw the great spots of the BVI: Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke, etc. The setting was beautiful but Joe and Mike were able to make our experience extra special by quickly adapting the itinerary to our wants and preferences. Prime Time is in excellent condition as well as its tender. The rooms are really nice and there is a very good amount of outdoor space to enjoy the sun. Joe is a wonderful cook, the majority of our charter ended up making his biscuit and gravy recipe after we were back. Overall, it was an incredible and and unforgettable experience. If you are looking to charter a yacht in the BVI, you cannot go wrong with Captain Joe, Mike and Prime Time.

As recent empty-nesters we didn't want to charter an entire vessel, so our broker found us Prime Time. We excitedly booked and were upgraded to the king suite; omg his and her bathrooms for an entire week!!! Completely by chance, our October weather conditions were ideal, and because it wasn't quite "season," we literally had the Islands to ourselves. Spectacular snorkeling everyday, and Captain Joe was very accommodating, getting us to all the great spots, and even encouraging us old-timers to try out the SUP and ZUP board (which i mastered)! He went above and beyond by offering his vehicle for us to explore Tortola! The boat vibe was very comfortable and relaxed and laid-back, exactly our style. My happy place was with my butt in the bean bag on the bow with a drink in my hand every time we were under way!!! #beanbagonthebow Deanne and Pascal, Florida

Incredible week on Prime Time cruising through the BVI I booked this trip for my wife's 40th birthday. There were 6 of us on the trip and we stayed on the boat for 8 days. We toured all of the islands in the BVI, went scuba diving (saw sharks!), hit all of the awesome beaches and beach bars and even took a jump from the top of the yacht into the water 40 feet down! Joe (Captain), Michael (1st Mate) and Londa (Chef) made sure that anything we needed was taken care of and ensured each day had something new and fun to do. A little more detail: The Boat - The boat is plenty large for 3 couples. We spent most of the boat time on the wide open top deck catching sun or shade while enjoying cocktails. There was a ton of room up there and the breeze was great. We used the main level of the boat for some games at night and watched a couple movies. The boat had hi-speed wifi for the entire journey. Netflix and facetime worked just fine to watch movies and stay in touch with our kids. Lower deck rooms were a great place to escape the heat and catch a cat nap. I slept in the master and must say that the bed was more comfortable than I was expecting. The Food- Londa was the chef on board and the food was incredible. Regardless of the menu, she made every dish taste great. We had Mahi Mahi, Pork chops, BBQ ribs, West Indian Roti and Lobster to name a few. All were amazing. We even asked us to use the left over lobster for lobster mac the next day and that was awesome too. Really impressed with her... The BVI - What a great place. I have been throughout most of the Caribbean and really loved how the BVI. It is quite arid in comparison to Jamaica or some others but still beautiful, mountainous and sandy. Also, the people were terrific - never had an issue. I loved how we could see all the islands from each location and it only took us an hour or 2 to get from one island to the others. The Diving - We used Blue Water divers and my wife was able to take her PADI course with them during the trip. I dove one of the days also and saw a shark for the first time - awesome and scary at the same time! The divers picked us up at the boat and took us to our spots. Joe coordinated with them and made it seamless. Overall we had an extremely memorable trip and will certainly be coming back to the BVI. Thanks Joe!

Thanks Joe!
