Brian says, “I do everything on board; captain, cook, bartender, maid, plumber, engineer and diesel mechanic. I take care of everything, except musical entertainment, as unfortunately I can’t sing.” Not only does he do everything, he does it all extremely well. And, what Brian lacks in musical aptitude, he overwhelmingly compensates for in warmth, charm and humor.
Brian grew up spending all his time on the ocean off Long Beach, California. In addition to swimming, surfing, fishing, and sailing, he played water polo, was a competitive swimmer, and a summer lifeguard. He taught sailing in the Boy Scouts. (He’s an Eagle Scout, only four percent of Boy Scouts are granted this rank.) He is always available to help those who have little experience in the water. Guests aboard ALTITUDE ADJUSTMENT keen to try snorkeling, paddle boarding, or take a turn at the helm, will delight in his gentle, patient instruction.
Brian says that he fell in love with boating as a child. His lifelong dream of sailing around the world began in elementary school. However, after achieving a degree in Criminal Justice he went into Law Enforcement, first on the streets of Los Angeles County, and later in the Denver metro area. He is expertly qualified as a first responder, in First Aid/CPR, and basic life support. When he had earned his retirement from the force, it was finally time to realize his dream. He sold everything, obtained a USCG Captain’s license, and immediately set sail.

" I can easily say this was the hardest vacation to come back from because it was nothing short of a DREAM vacation. It was everything I could have ever hoped for and then some.
Capt Brian was amazing. He was so patient and kind during our trip. He was such a skillful and knowledgeable captain and it showed when we always got the best parking spots at each stop over. He knew when to leave and arrive at those spots to ensure we got the best locations and he got us so close to the beaches that it was amazing to watch him work. We felt safe and taken care of the entire time. I can easily say that every day was our favorite but each day was special in their own way. Ronde Island and St. Vincent had the clearest water and best snorkeling. Tobago Cays and Sandy Island have the most amazing water colors. The lobster dinner at the Tobago Cays was the best meal of the trip. Chatham bay and Mayreau made us feel like we were the only people around. Canuan and the Sandy Island Yacht Club was nothing short of amazing. We really felt like millionaires there.
I don't think I have any major complaints at this point. The boat was always clean. Brain kept us well fed and hydrated. Whenever we made a request Brian made sure it was taken care of. We were really pampered on this trip.”

The week-long trip aboard Altitude Adjustment with Captain Brian was the trip of a lifetime .The trip was wonderful, the beaches fabulous,and the service from the captain beyond what we expected. This trip was easy from beginning to end from dealing with John Dewhurst to book our trip and him calling as we board to check on us and to follow up with us afterward. I would highly recommend this trip from start to finish.There is really no way to explain this trip, Brian took care of everything aboard from food to putting us in some amazing spots. Great time is the biggest understatement of all time. Hard to put into words what this trip was for us. Neither of us had ever sailed and Captain Brian made us feel right at home and comfortable from the minute we met him. The food is incredible and he went above and beyond to meet all of our requests. I rate this yacht & crew 5 Star! The yacht was very clean. Plenty of room for everyone to get together and visit, or spread out and relax. The yacht well ventilated. Each night the breeze coming through the cabin was so calming and comfortable.
Brian did an excellent job of preparing meals, drinks, and excursions. He was first to get up, the last to go to bed, and around every corner to take care of anything and everything we wanted or needed.
The food was plentiful, tasty and presented in a very colorful and decorative manner.
I had certain expectations of the trip from food, drinks, destinations and activities and the Altitude Adjustment exceeded them all. If I decide to repeat this trip, the 1st place I will look is Brian and the Altitude Adjustment!

November 25 - December 1, USVI
We sailed on Altitude Adjustment in the USVI November 25th through December 1st and i wanted to send a note about our experience.
It was an amazing trip! From the moment we stepped on the boat, it was pure relaxation and enjoyment! Brian was extremely knowledgeable about the area and the history of the area, and we enjoyed the stories that he shared with us. We looked forward each day to his drink of the day selection and tried many things that we probably would have never tried on our own. Best of all were his meals! For Thanksgiving we had steak and the biggest lobster tail I’ve ever seen! Every meal was outstanding! We truly did not expect to eat such wonderful gourmet meals on the trip and if the whole captain thing doesn’t work out, I’d recommend Brian open his own restaurant. We were able to enjoy both popular and secluded locations. Having tacos at Lime Out is an experience that everyone needs to have at least once in their life, but the Hurricane Hole mooring was one of our favorites. At Hurricane Hole we had the whole place to ourselves and we were able to snorkel and paddle board all day. I just can’t say enough about this trip and especially about Brian, he made our long anticipated trip simply amazing and I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking to book a trip.

We loved all of the snorkeling, paddle boarding, hiking and all of the beautiful moorings on our trip around St. John and St. Thomas. The crew was friendly and accommodating. The yacht was absolutely comfortable and clean. The yacht was well ventilated. The food was good and well presented. The areas we sailed were beautiful! Brian was very accommodating to all our needs. He wouldn't let us lift a finger and was available anytime we needed anything at all.

I cannot say enough positive things about our time aboard Altitude Adjustment. Captain Brian is an amazing cook and even accommodated our two picky eaters and got them to try new things. He took us to see a variety of amazing places! The snorkeling in St. Johns can not be beat anywhere in the world! The boat had everything we wanted or needed from snorkeling gear to a phone charging station. The extras such as the paddle board and kayak were a great way to explore the different beaches. A Dream Come True and Perfect Destinations!
Just returned from a 6 day cruise. It was incredible and a dream come true. Brian (our captain and owner) worked with us on where we wanted to go and what we wanted to see. He took us to so many amazing beaches and a couple of them we were the only ones there. The different shades of blue water in the Caribbean Ocean were breathtaking. Snorkeling and diving were good, lots of fish to be seen. We went to Culebra, Isle of Culebrita, St. Johns and St. Thomas and Palomino Island. Perfect destinations!!! Brian made sure there was never a lack of food. He made some wonderful meals and we always looked forward to the "drink of the day". I would definitely do it again. Brian went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met and that our vacation was enjoyable. Good job Brian!!!

A Stressfree Vacation!
This was by far THE best vacation we've ever taken. Stress free, most beaches Brian Saupe took us to were deserted or only a handful of people, and all logistics were taken care of. Our only concerns were how many rum drinks to consume and remembering to put on sunscreen.

Brian says, “I do everything on board; captain, cook, bartender, maid, plumber, engineer and diesel mechanic. I take care of everything, except musical entertainment, as unfortunately I can’t sing.” Not only does he do everything, he does it all extremely well. And, what Brian lacks in musical aptitude, he overwhelmingly compensates for in warmth, charm and humor.
Brian grew up spending all his time on the ocean off Long Beach, California. In addition to swimming, surfing, fishing, and sailing, he played water polo, was a competitive swimmer, and a summer lifeguard. He taught sailing in the Boy Scouts. (He’s an Eagle Scout, only four percent of Boy Scouts are granted this rank.) He is always available to help those who have little experience in the water. Guests aboard ALTITUDE ADJUSTMENT keen to try snorkeling, paddle boarding, or take a turn at the helm, will delight in his gentle, patient instruction.
Brian says that he fell in love with boating as a child. His lifelong dream of sailing around the world began in elementary school. However, after achieving a degree in Criminal Justice he went into Law Enforcement, first on the streets of Los Angeles County, and later in the Denver metro area. He is expertly qualified as a first responder, in First Aid/CPR, and basic life support. When he had earned his retirement from the force, it was finally time to realize his dream. He sold everything, obtained a USCG Captain’s license, and immediately set sail.
Aboard ALTITUDE ADJUSTMENT, Brian shares the beauty and privilege of living life on a luxury catamaran in the Caribbean. There’s fishing, sunsets, dining on deck, swimming and water sports, touring, restaurants and beach bars. Brian is an expert mariner and a really friendly, laid-back guy who is always smiling!! " I can easily say this was the hardest vacation to come back from because it was nothing short of a DREAM vacation. It was everything I could have ever hoped for and then some.
Capt Brian was amazing. He was so patient and kind during our trip. He was such a skillful and knowledgeable captain and it showed when we always got the best parking spots at each stop over. He knew when to leave and arrive at those spots to ensure we got the best locations and he got us so close to the beaches that it was amazing to watch him work. We felt safe and taken care of the entire time. I can easily say that every day was our favorite but each day was special in their own way. Ronde Island and St. Vincent had the clearest water and best snorkeling. Tobago Cays and Sandy Island have the most amazing water colors. The lobster dinner at the Tobago Cays was the best meal of the trip. Chatham bay and Mayreau made us feel like we were the only people around. Canuan and the Sandy Island Yacht Club was nothing short of amazing. We really felt like millionaires there.
I don't think I have any major complaints at this point. The boat was always clean. Brain kept us well fed and hydrated. Whenever we made a request Brian made sure it was taken care of. We were really pampered on this trip.”

The week-long trip aboard Altitude Adjustment with Captain Brian was the trip of a lifetime .The trip was wonderful, the beaches fabulous,and the service from the captain beyond what we expected. This trip was easy from beginning to end from dealing with John Dewhurst to book our trip and him calling as we board to check on us and to follow up with us afterward. I would highly recommend this trip from start to finish.There is really no way to explain this trip, Brian took care of everything aboard from food to putting us in some amazing spots. Great time is the biggest understatement of all time. Hard to put into words what this trip was for us. Neither of us had ever sailed and Captain Brian made us feel right at home and comfortable from the minute we met him. The food is incredible and he went above and beyond to meet all of our requests. The spots he took us were absolutely breathtaking. It is hard to pick a favorite thing about the trip because everything was amazing. Captain Brian is now a friend. Hope to see him soon.

I rate this yacht & crew 5 Star! The yacht was very clean. Plenty of room for everyone to get together and visit, or spread out and relax. The yacht well ventilated. Each night the breeze coming through the cabin was so calming and comfortable.
Brian did an excellent job of preparing meals, drinks, and excursions. He was first to get up, the last to go to bed, and around every corner to take care of anything and everything we wanted or needed.
The food was plentiful, tasty and presented in a very colorful and decorative manner.
I had certain expectations of the trip from food, drinks, destinations and activities and the Altitude Adjustment exceeded them all. If I decide to repeat this trip, the 1st place I will look is Brian and the Altitude Adjustment!

November 25 - December 1, USVI
We sailed on Altitude Adjustment in the USVI November 25th through December 1st and i wanted to send a note about our experience.
It was an amazing trip! From the moment we stepped on the boat, it was pure relaxation and enjoyment! Brian was extremely knowledgeable about the area and the history of the area, and we enjoyed the stories that he shared with us. We looked forward each day to his drink of the day selection and tried many things that we probably would have never tried on our own. Best of all were his meals! For Thanksgiving we had steak and the biggest lobster tail I’ve ever seen! Every meal was outstanding! We truly did not expect to eat such wonderful gourmet meals on the trip and if the whole captain thing doesn’t work out, I’d recommend Brian open his own restaurant. We were able to enjoy both popular and secluded locations. Having tacos at Lime Out is an experience that everyone needs to have at least once in their life, but the Hurricane Hole mooring was one of our favorites. At Hurricane Hole we had the whole place to ourselves and we were able to snorkel and paddle board all day. I just can’t say enough about this trip and especially about Brian, he made our long anticipated trip simply amazing and I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking to book a trip.

The crew was friendly and accommodating. The yacht was absolutely comfortable and clean. The yacht was well ventilated. The food was good and well presented. The areas we sailed were beautiful! Brian was very accommodating to all our needs. He wouldn't let us lift a finger and was available anytime we needed anything at all.

I cannot say enough positive things about our time aboard Altitude Adjustment. Captain Brian is an amazing cook and even accommodated our two picky eaters and got them to try new things. He took us to see a variety of amazing places! The snorkeling in St. Johns can not be beat anywhere in the world! The boat had everything we wanted or needed from snorkeling gear to a phone charging station. The extras such as the paddle board and kayak were a great way to explore the different beaches. A Dream Come True and Perfect Destinations!
Just returned from a 6 day cruise. It was incredible and a dream come true. Brian (our captain and owner) worked with us on where we wanted to go and what we wanted to see. He took us to so many amazing beaches and a couple of them we were the only ones there. The different shades of blue water in the Caribbean Ocean were breathtaking. Snorkeling and diving were good, lots of fish to be seen. We went to Culebra, Isle of Culebrita, St. Johns and St. Thomas and Palomino Island. Perfect destinations!!! Brian made sure there was never a lack of food. He made some wonderful meals and we always looked forward to the "drink of the day". I would definitely do it again. Brian went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met and that our vacation was enjoyable. Good job Brian!!!

A Stressfree Vacation!
This was by far THE best vacation we've ever taken. Stress free, most beaches Brian Saupe took us to were deserted or only a handful of people, and all logistics were taken care of. Our only concerns were how many rum drinks to consume and remembering to put on sunscreen.
