Captain
Joe
Nation: Philipinnes
Born: 1962
Languages: English & Thai
Chef Cook
Thong
Nation: Thai
The Captain Joe, probably Asia's most experienced delivery captain before he captained Silverlining on around the world circumnavigation .Highly experienced , highly skilled and a very pleasant persona. He is also a qualified engineer and speaks good English.

The Chef "Phong" is Thai has a great deal of experience as chef on superyachts in Thailand . He has an extensive repertoire of delicious dishes. He is an accomplished chef and will take into account your individual preferences and taste when preparing dishes specially for you.

The Ship's Hostess Realyn Paglinawan is Philipino . She speaks fluent English and is onboard for over 1 year
She is the picture of commitment, not only in terms of housekeeping, joy, work ethics and service, but also to the safety and comfort of any journey. Her cooperation with Captain Joe goes beyond a normal working relationship and is almost like that of family members. Realyn is the glue that makes the experience on Silverlining more than the sum of its parts: from providing impeccable service to the passengers, over 'running a tight ship' in housekeeping and coordination, to helping the crew out with sailing duties where required.

Realyn has accumulated a broad experience on long sailing charters, both in Thailand and in neighboring countries such as Myanmar, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. She has consistently gained plaudits from her guest, and no doubt: with her outstanding attention to hospitality and positive mood, her good command of English and her extremely personable character, I am convinced she will make any journey all the more memorable - and provide the 'secret sauce' that makes for fond memories, months and years after debarking.

The Officer "Saman" i

The First Officer "Joerex " has been with us now for nearly 2 years, and is a pleasant hard-working young man who is only too happy to help you with anything you wish, in addition to his ship duties.
Charter From Diane Fraser - February 2018
From the guest upon return Joe, Ron and I want to thank you and your excellent crew for a very enjoyable and memorable cruise. You have assembled an excellent crew who attended to our every need with speed and a cheerful attitude. (,,,) Thank you and happy sailing! Ron Bailey and Bill Edwards From Broker Diane Fraser Hello Vincent! Hello to you Mr. Hayes! I'm happy to advise that the guests for the Bailey/Edwards charter are arriving into Thailand now, and everything seems to be coming together. In fact, being yacht enthusiasts, Ron and Bill made a visit to Yacht Haven Marina today! While there, they of course walked down the dock to view the Silver Lining. Captain Joe graciously invited them aboard. Vincent, I must thank you because they felt the boat was beautiful - in great condition with a very good layout. In this business we so often rely on the assurances of our colleagues, so I would like to say how appreciative I am that your assurances were founded. ...and I simply have to ask Mr. Hayes, are you the Owner? If so, then thank you for your investment to maintain the yacht. Bill also told me the yacht is under offer now to sell. I hope for a smooth closing. It is not necessary for me to be privy to a pending sale if it does not affect the charter, but it would be nice to know so that I can reassure and avoid surprises. In any event, thank you for waiting to close until after the charter. Vincent, thank you again for meeting the guests when they board. It is a real pleasure to know they are in such good hands. Warm regards, Diane

Dear Vincent First of all thank you for giving us the opportunity to discover SILVERLINING & Phuket's island the last 3 days. I have to say that I was very positively surprised, by the yacht & the crew! Please find below my feedback for this wonderful fam trip: SILVERLINING is a really nice sailing yacht. For the size, I found her very spacious and well designed. The yacht was perfectly cleaned during the all journey, smelling very good inside. The towels and bed shits were smelling so good everyday ! The crew was absolutely lovely & professional. The captain was really nice with us, taking time to explain all the story of the yacht. Very good sailor who knows perfectly the region! The Captain also change many times itinerary naturally, escape the rain or escape big Chinese group, which was always a great initiative. The deckhand is so smily, always happy to take the dingy to bring us to the beach or snorkelling. He was also very helpful with the service ! The stewardess was very good, I found her better than the time she was onboard DOLCE VITA! She remember small details like who drinks coffee with sugar whose not or if you have preference for cold water or temperature one... which was very appreciable. The chef was very discret and shy, but the food was delicious ! Simple, fresh, tasty & healthy ! Thank you again and looking forward to bring you business ! Reviewed September 9, 2015 "My family of 16 Adults and 2 toddlers sailed the SY Silver Lining in Phuket. 2 days and 1 night cruising. Around Phang-Na Bay and its islands. We were looked after by a crew of 7. That's nearly 1 crew member to 2 guests!!! Most importantly, the toddlers (1 year & 3 years) were very well looked after, protected and safe. That made our cruising stress and worry free. Thankfully! Pop the Champagne, let the beer flow and let's celebrate with Campari. No worries. The yacht (which is a super-yacht) was luxurious and enjoyable. No one felt crammed. I think the good weather enhanced our enjoyment. The yacht anchored off various islands to let us jump into the waters, beach landings, snorkel, take the kayak out, sea-Jacuzzi, - all the toys were taken out. We all had a blast. The chef was marvelous. His food even more so. He catered to every diet requirement or restriction (yes, my family is a motley and eclectic collection of different races and religions and dietary fancies). I salute him for his variety and ingenuity in cooking up a storm for us. It took some doing and persuasion, but Cpt Joe finally relented and unfurled the main sail and killed the engines. Those couple of hours were the best - and made our cruising a true sailing cruise. What else to say? I will repeat what I wrote in the Log Book. The Silver Lining is a wonderful yacht. How does one make something so wonderful, wonderous? Well an even more wonderful crew! Thank you Richard, Cpt Joe and your crew for a lifetime of champagne wishes and caviar dreams.
Rates are Plus Expenses

Med Term pricing is cost (cost of the boat) + VAT (country tax) + APA (operating and provisioning expenses). The cost is the weekly rate for the charter. The VAT and APA are calculated on the cost of the boat and paid in addition to that base price. The APA covers: fuel, water, food, licenses, alcohol, and any specific items you would like provided to you. APA money that is not used for provisioning would be reimbursed to you- or, if you spend over the amount, they would charge you. The Captain keeps track of expenses and would let you know if you’re reaching your APA limit. This is the industry standard for the region.

Caribbean Terms or Caribbean Inclusions refer to all-inclusive rates. These boats are typically catamarans and monohulls and are found in the Caribbean.

Most (but not all) motor-yachts and sailing vessels in the Med are Med Rate terms.

The yachts featured on our website will specifically state which type of pricing they offer.
