CAPTAIN | Brendon Gorn | Australian
Joined KATHLEEN ANNE in November 2018

Brendon grew up on the West Coast of Australia and spent every spare minute of his youth either surfing (State Champion) or on his father’s motor yacht at Rottnest Island.
After a brief stint chasing the pro surfing tour, it was time for a real job! Brendon spent the next eight years on the deck of Lobster boats and then four more years driving high-speed ferries, before landing in Antibes where he started his professional yachting career.
With over 21 years’ experience as a yacht Captain, cruising both east and west Mediterranean, Caribbean, Asia, the East Coast of the U.S, and the waters of Dubai and Oman, Brendon is a highly experienced Captain who will ensure charter guests ALWAYS get what they want.

CHEF| Brayden Bennett | English
Joined KATHLEEN ANNE in March 2024

Brayden was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and went straight into hospitality after completing his education.
Moving to the UK in 2000 to expand his knowledge and passion for food, Brayden has since cooked in fine dining restaurants in London and also those serving a more traditional Mediterranean style cuisine. In 2007, looking for more adventure but not giving up his passion for food, Brayden was drawn to the yachting industry.
Brayden’s cuisine specialties include Italian, French, Greek, Lebanese, Asian and Brazilian, and he enjoys creating meals for varied tastes as well as to suit specific itineraries.
Today, Brayden calls Portugal home and he likes to maintain a healthy lifestyle, partaking in many sporting activities. He’s especially keen on water sports and recommends you give wakeboarding a try whilst on charter.

CHIEF STEWARDESS | Olga Karashevska | Latvian
Olga was born in Latvia and spent her childhood sailing the Baltic Sea with her father. As a young adult, Olga studied law and obtained her degree but the pull of the sea was too strong. Since 2015, Olga has been working aboard superyachts and forging a career as a professional and responsible crew member.
Olga is a creative leader and excels in time management. Her quick-thinking and innovative solutions mean the boat’s interior is maintained to a very high presentational standard.
Olga likes to enhance and further her skills and is currently studying for a qualification in massage.

CHIEF ENGINEER | Philip Murrell | British
Joined KATHLEEN ANNE in April 2020

After completing his civil aviation air engineering license, Philip started working for British airways. Deciding that a career at sea would be more interesting he hit the books again, gaining his Y2 engineer’s ticket. Philip has now worked on boats for 20 years, including 7 years on Kathleen Anne. His engine room is kept as clean as the main saloon. Off the boat, Phil and his family live in the South of France. His two young sons keep him busy when he is not lighting a BBQ or skiing in his favourite winter spots of Auron or Isola 2000.

FIRST OFFICER | Thomas Le Bozec | French
Joined KATHLEEN ANNE in February 2022

Tom is a friendly person who truly cares about the wellbeing of others around him. He is reliable, honest and will always push himself to do better. He previously worked as deckhand on 45m MY Fathom, as lead deckhand on 72m MY Enigma, as first mate/second engineer on 40m MY Castellina and 37m M/Y Her Jean II.

Thomas completes all tasks to an exceptionally high standard and takes great pride in his work. Thomas is extremely healthy and sporty and is a great addition to the Kathleen Anne team - he will make sure guests have a fantastic experience!
Rates are Plus Expenses

Med Term pricing is cost (cost of the boat) + VAT (country tax) + APA (operating and provisioning expenses). The cost is the weekly rate for the charter. The VAT and APA are calculated on the cost of the boat and paid in addition to that base price. The APA covers: fuel, water, food, licenses, alcohol, and any specific items you would like provided to you. APA money that is not used for provisioning would be reimbursed to you- or, if you spend over the amount, they would charge you. The Captain keeps track of expenses and would let you know if you’re reaching your APA limit. This is the industry standard for the region.

Caribbean Terms or Caribbean Inclusions refer to all-inclusive rates. These boats are typically catamarans and monohulls and are found in the Caribbean.

Most (but not all) motor-yachts and sailing vessels in the Med are Med Rate terms.

The yachts featured on our website will specifically state which type of pricing they offer.
