CAPTAIN - Peter Fox
Peter Fox (also known as "Foxy" or "Silver") is a 70-year-old adventurer with a heart set on the sea. Born in East Africa and educated in the UK, Peter's life has been a tapestry of exploration and service. After a stint with the Royal Marines and a career in retail security, Peter retired at 51 to pursue his passion for sailing and uncovering the histories of Mediterranean lands.
With sailing ingrained in his soul since childhood, Peter has logged an impressive 262.800 nautical miles over the last 19 years, mainly navigating the Mediterranean's azure waters. As a skipper, he's not only mastered the art of solo sailing but has also captained numerous charter boats, from basic yachts to luxurious catamarans.
Peter's expertise extends beyond sailing; he's a weather forecasting aficionado, often guiding fellow sailors and even providing crucial support for transatlantic rowing challenges. As a skipper, Peter goes above and beyond, customizing sailing holidays to match his clients' interests, ensuring every voyage is a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. From drift swims in hidden coves to delving into ancient histories, Peter's attention to detail ensures every moment at sea is unforgettable. With his warmth, experience and dedication to safety, Peter Fox guarantees a sailing experience like no other.

Rates are Plus Expenses

Med Term pricing is cost (cost of the boat) + VAT (country tax) + APA (operating and provisioning expenses). The cost is the weekly rate for the charter. The VAT and APA are calculated on the cost of the boat and paid in addition to that base price. The APA covers: fuel, water, food, licenses, alcohol, and any specific items you would like provided to you. APA money that is not used for provisioning would be reimbursed to you- or, if you spend over the amount, they would charge you. The Captain keeps track of expenses and would let you know if you’re reaching your APA limit. This is the industry standard for the region.

Caribbean Terms or Caribbean Inclusions refer to all-inclusive rates. These boats are typically catamarans and monohulls and are found in the Caribbean.

Most (but not all) motor-yachts and sailing vessels in the Med are Med Rate terms.

The yachts featured on our website will specifically state which type of pricing they offer.
