SAIL AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Hervé is an experienced captain with a strong record of delivering great vacations in a range of cruising locations in the Mediterranean. His objective continues to exceed expectations as he creates an environment where owners, guest and crew feel content, safe and relaxed. Having captained a range of boats for the past 6 years, including a float of 3 yachts, Hervé is an ambitious, dedicated and hard-working individual who is used to a fast-paced schedule while remaining calm and efficient. He has been aboard OLA since 2021 and is excited for a packed summer charter season ahead.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Hervé is responsible for navigation, safety, the overall running and financial management of the vessel, crew and guests. He ensures the safe and efficient operation of the yacht at all times, including compliance with all safety procedures and regulations. He takes care of adhering to flag regulations, port state and local laws and regulations, and manages the crew to ensure adherence to, and a full understanding of, the vessel’s policies. He provides daily leadership for the crew and encourages teamwork, individual growth and personal attention by delegating duties and supervising all crew tasks.

Finishing her baccalaureate in 2022, Laura’s career in the yachting industry has just
begun. Nevertheless, Laura is practised in sailing on the French Coast having completed
several internships between 2019 until now. She is thus well-placed to begin her post
at OLA having accumulated sufficient experience in her training.

Job Description
Laura will act as the Captain’s second in command, assisting him during navigation
and participating in all on-deck operations, respecting guest’s activities.

Licences & Certificate
Undergoing a baccalaureate in STCW
Obtained a Mechanics 250KW certificate

J'ai eu la femme de Mr X au téléphone ce matin et elle m'a dit qu'ils ont passé un séjour extraordinaire à bord, ils ont été ravis du bateau et plus particulièrement de l'équipage qui a été super (beaucoup de compliments sur Anasthasia et sa cuisine 😉). De mon côté aussi super contact avec le crew donc merci beaucoup

  • Light daily housekeeping
  • Breakfast, lunch, canapés/afternoon tea, dinner and snacks
  • Standard ship’s bar: vodka, gin, rum, whiskey, tequila, triple sec, mixers, local beers, table wine and water/coffee/tea and soft drinks
  • Stereo with MP3/iPhone connection with indoor/outdoor speakers; 3G/4G Wi-Fi access point
  • Snorkeling equipment, fishing gear, kayaks, dingy tender with outboard motors
  • Water toys such as floating islands, and air mattresses
  • Separate bathroom and living quarters for crew
  • Reputable and licensed crew who have local knowledge of waters and are able to adjust menus based on guest’s preferences and dietary restrictions
  • Operating expenses including: use of air conditioning, fuel, water, sailing permits/taxes, local taxes and crew wages

What Is Not Included in Standard All-Inclusive Charters:

  • Gratuity for crew. Gratuity is at guest discretion and is typically between 15-20%
