7-Night Crewed Sailing Itinerary

Elegant & Timeless

A Volcanic Archipelago Explored by Sail

Round-Trip from Milazzo

This itinerary explores the volcanic beauty, charming villages, and secluded anchorages of the Aeolian Islands, a UNESCO World Heritage Site just off Sicily’s northern coast.

Day 1 – Milazzo → Vulcano

Begin your charter in Milazzo and sail to Vulcano, named after the Roman god of fire. Known for its dramatic volcanic landscape, black-sand beaches, and natural sulphur mud baths, Vulcano is an exciting and relaxing introduction to the Aeolian Islands. Enjoy swimming at anchor and a sunset aperitivo onboard.

Day 2 – Vulcano → Lipari

Cruise a short distance to Lipari, the cultural and commercial heart of the archipelago. Wander through the lively old town, visit the historic citadel and archaeological museum, or enjoy waterfront dining along the marina. Lipari offers excellent shopping, dining, and sheltered anchorages.

Day 3 – Lipari → Panarea

Sail onward to Panarea, the smallest and most glamorous of the Aeolian Islands. Popular with Italians in the know, Panarea features whitewashed buildings, chic beach clubs, and crystal-clear waters. Spend the afternoon swimming in secluded coves before enjoying dinner ashore or a relaxed evening onboard.

Day 4 – Panarea → Stromboli

Continue to Stromboli, one of the world’s most active volcanoes. This remote island rises dramatically from the sea and offers a truly unique experience. In the evening, anchor offshore to witness the volcano’s occasional glowing eruptions after dark—an unforgettable natural spectacle.

Day 5 – Stromboli → Salina

Sail south to Salina, known for its twin volcanic peaks, lush vegetation, and vineyards. Often considered the greenest of the islands, Salina offers a peaceful atmosphere, excellent local cuisine, and scenic anchorages with stunning views across the archipelago.

Day 6 – Salina → Filicudi

Cruise to Filicudi, a quiet and unspoiled island rich in archaeological history. With a small local population and dramatic coastal scenery, Filicudi is ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and enjoying a slower pace of island life. Anchor in a sheltered bay and dine under the stars.

Day 7 – Filicudi → Milazzo

Begin the return sail to Milazzo, enjoying open-water cruising and final swim stops along the way. Spend your last evening onboard or ashore in Milazzo, reflecting on a week of volcanic landscapes, clear waters, and authentic island charm.

Day 8 – Milazzo

Disembarkation after breakfast.
