Captain Jim Edgars was born and raised in Alaska. Jim has been commercial fishing Alaskan waters since his early teens. When he is not out on the fishing grounds he spends his time jet boating up the Stikine River, as well as exploring the Tongass National Forrest. Given that Jim spends more time in the Alaskan Wilderness than any other place, he is uniquely equipped to showcase many of Alaska’s hidden jewels! Jim’s wealth of knowledge and lifetime of Alaskan stories are sure to keep you informed and entertained.
Chef Alisa Jestel got her culinary start in Seattle. She cooked in Seattle restaurants for 10 years prior to boarding her first yacht headed for Alaska! That was almost 15 years ago and she hasn't looked back. Alisa and Jim met on a whale research charter and have been together since. Alisa has a knack for turning your fresh catch into a meal you won’t soon forget! She utilizes the bounty Alaska has to offer both from the land and the sea. Her meals are uniquely crafted to suit each guest’s individual palette! Cooking is her passion, and it shows. Be prepared to embark on a culinary adventure as she teams up with her husband to showcase the beauty and bounty Alaska has to offer!

Best experience on a yacht ever!
Chef Alisa is not only an award-winning chef she absolutely knows how to provide hospitality. Captain Jim has grown up in Alaska and knows the environment and the sites like the back of his hand. The places you'll go, the wildlife you'll see and the culinary treats that we experienced with chef Alisa and Captain Jim far exceeded our expectations.

Truly one of the most memorable weeks ever!
We have been on many sailboat and yacht charters in most corners of the world, and I must say the location, the crew, the food, the activities, and the yacht itself were all at the top of the charts!

We were honored to take the Maiden Cruise on M/Y Dauntless!
It was amazing! Alisa and Jim completely tailored the experience to our family's desires and went out of their way to give us everything we hoped to see and do. The Dauntless is beautifully appointed and we enjoyed amazing food and fun filled days. The perfect trip with our three teenagers. Everyone had their favorite activity which included the hiking, beach bbq, kayaking, shrimping and crabbing and the polar plunge at the glacier!
