Chef Mae
Mae began her journey with Amura as a third crew member, working alongside Rebecca and Max. Through dedication and passion, she quickly worked her way up to become an incredible chef. Originally from Cuba, Mae brings a warm presence and strong work ethic to every charter. Known for her hard work and attentive service, she ensures glasses are never empty and guests always feel cared for. Her culinary creations are as delicious as they are beautifully presented, making every meal an experience to remember.
Captain Dan
Dan grew up in New Zealand with the ocean as his backyard and went on to sail his own boat across the Pacific. Those years shaped his relaxed confidence on the water and his natural way of reading the sea. Sailing has always been about freedom, connection, and good company for Dan and that’s exactly what he brings to Amura. Guests are invited to slow down, settle in, and experience life on the water through the eyes of someone who truly lives it.

Kate has spent years chasing the ocean, sailing across the Pacific and feeling most at home on the water. With experience living and working on boats, she knows that the best moments at sea aren’t rushed, they’re shared. From lazy swims and sunset sails to good music and easy laughter, Kate brings a warm, fun-loving energy to life onboard Amura. Her goal is simple: make sure every guest feels relaxed, looked after, and has an unforgettable time on the ocean.

- Separate bathroom and living quarters for crew
- Reputable and licensed crew who have local knowledge of waters and are able to adjust menus based on guest’s preferences and dietary restrictions
- Operating expenses including: use of air conditioning, fuel, water, sailing permits/taxes, local taxes and crew wages
What Is Not Included in Standard All-Inclusive Charters:
- Gratuity for crew. Gratuity is at guest discretion and is typically between 15-20%
- Meals and beverages at restaurants and bars
- Rendezvous diving, ASA sailing certification courses and any other offshore excursions

On AMURA, we offer a delightful four-course experience throughout the
day:
WELCOME: Enjoy fruits, cookies, nuts, and cocktails as you board.
ARRIVAL: Indulge in a cheese and meat board, veggies with dips, and chips.
LUNCH/DINNER: Choose between fresh Mahi-mahi or Surf & Turf, served with veggies and salad.
