Katlo Yacht Charter | 55-Foot Bali Catamaran
Step aboard Katlo, a 2023 Bali sailing catamaran designed for spacious, easygoing escapes on the water. Accommodating up to six guests in three queen cabins, this 55-foot yacht combines contemporary indoor-outdoor living with personalized service from a professional crew of two.
Whether the day calls for paddleboarding, snorkeling, exploring ashore, or simply relaxing with a cocktail, Katlo offers a comfortable private setting for couples, families, and small groups.
Open-Plan Living
Katlo’s generous 28.7-foot beam creates an impressive amount of room for six guests. Bali’s open-concept design connects the bright salon with the yacht’s exterior gathering areas, allowing natural light, fresh air, and ocean views to become part of the onboard experience.
The salon features comfortable seating, a television with IPTV, and an upgraded sound system. A full-sized refrigerator, coffee and espresso maker, and well-equipped galley support everything from leisurely breakfasts to chef-prepared dinners.
Full air conditioning is available throughout the yacht, including overnight.
Accommodations for Six Guests
Katlo welcomes six guests in three queen cabins. Each guest cabin offers air-conditioned comfort and a private ensuite bathroom with a shower, electric head, and washbasin.

The crew normally occupies the starboard aft cabin. Guests interested in using that cabin should inquire in advance about availability, the resulting cabin arrangement, and any additional fee.
Outdoor Living
Katlo’s exterior areas are designed for making the most of warm days and beautiful surroundings. SeaDek flooring adds comfort underfoot, while a forward-cockpit sun awning provides shade when guests want a break from the sun.
Guests can gather for alfresco dining, enjoy refreshments from the barbecue, or relax outdoors with music playing through the upgraded sound system. The swim area and outdoor shower make it easy to transition between onboard relaxation and time in the water.
Private Crew and Customized Dining
Katlo is operated by a dedicated captain and chef/first mate. The crew manages the itinerary, navigation, meals, and daily service while adapting the charter experience to each group’s preferences.
Menus are fully customizable, and the ship’s bar can be provisioned according to guest requests. Indoor and outdoor dining areas provide inviting settings for everything from casual lunches to memorable dinners beneath the stars.

Boarding ladders are available on both the yacht and dinghy. Guests can explore beneath the surface with the sea scooters, glide across quiet bays on paddleboards, try a tow sport, or relax together on the floating dock.
Fishing
Katlo carries four rods suitable for rod-and-reel fishing and trolling. Fishing opportunities depend on the itinerary, local regulations, permit requirements, weather, and the captain’s discretion.
Rendezvous Scuba Diving
Scuba diving may be arranged with an independent local dive operator. Katlo does not carry an onboard compressor or complete dive inventory, so certification requirements, equipment, availability, transportation, and additional fees should be confirmed before the charter.
Entertainment, Fitness, and Connectivity
Starlink Wi-Fi helps guests stay connected during the charter. Entertainment amenities include IPTV, board and card games, and an upgraded Sonos sound system throughout the yacht.
Exercise bands, yoga mats, and dumbbells are also available for guests who want to maintain a fitness or stretching routine while aboard.
Eco-Conscious Comfort
Katlo provides reusable water bottles and purified drinking water, helping reduce reliance on disposable plastic bottles during the charter. Guests are encouraged to use reef-safe products and follow responsible practices around beaches, reefs, and marine life.
Charter Policies
Smoking is permitted only from the yacht’s aft sugar scoops.
The crew normally occupies the starboard aft cabin. Requests to use that cabin require advance approval and may involve an additional fee.
Crew gratuity is separate from the charter fee and should be confirmed during the reservation process.

With three private queen cabins, expansive living areas, customized dining, Starlink connectivity, and an extensive selection of water toys, Katlo offers a polished and personal charter experience for six guests.

Calvin le Roux
Captain Calvin grew up in Vanderbijlpark, South Africa, where he would spend the summers on the lake enjoying the water. His passion for sailing began in 2017 when he went to RYA Sailing School for his Yacht Master Offshore course in Cape Town. From there he went on to do deliveries and Atlantic crossings from South Africa to Abu Dhabi and the Canary Islands to Antigua where his career in private yachts and the charter industry began. He has sailed over 15,000 nautical miles in different countries around the world.
With over eight years in the yachting industry, Captain Calvin’s passion for sailing and the ocean truly shows. Whether he is teaching keen guests how to sail, taking guests snorkeling or helping create a tailored itinerary to each group, his guests are sure to have the trip of a lifetime on board Katlo!

Katie grew up in Fort Worth, Texas always having a passion for the ocean. One day she took the leap move to the Caribbean and look for a job on a boat. She began her career in yachting as a stewardess on a private sailing yacht in the British Virgin Islands. While working on Taza Mas she gained a new appreciation for the ocean and diving as well as learning from the chef and taking care of the guests. She then went on to do her Divemaster’s in Tortola and has been working on private and charter yachts for over ten years.
Katie’s passion for cooking has come along side of the wonderful chef’s she has worked with, knowing she too wanted to be in the galley. In 2019 she went to Ashburton Culinary School and has been cooking for guests for over six years with four years in the charter industry. Katie is excited to deliver an array of meals to her guests while including local and global cuisines and is always up for the challenge of learning new skillsets. Her enthusiasm for hospitality shines through her meals, bringing people together and catering to each guests’ preferences.

Unless otherwise specified-Caribbean Standard All-Inclusive Charters include the following:
- Standard check-in/check-out of 12pm
- Light daily housekeeping
- Breakfast, lunch, canapés/afternoon tea, dinner and snacks
- Standard ship’s bar: vodka, gin, rum, whiskey, tequila, triple sec, mixers, local beers, table wine and water/coffee/tea and soft drinks
- Stereo with MP3/iPhone connection with indoor/outdoor speakers; 3G/4G Wi-Fi access point
- Snorkeling equipment, fishing gear, kayaks, dingy tender with outboard motors
- Water toys such as floating islands, and air mattresses
- Separate bathroom and living quarters for crew
- Reputable and licensed crew who have local knowledge of waters and are able to adjust menus based on guest’s preferences and dietary restrictions
- Operating expenses including: use of air conditioning, fuel, water, sailing permits/taxes, local taxes and crew wages
What Is Not Included in Standard All-Inclusive Charters:
- Gratuity for crew. Gratuity is at guest discretion and is typically between 15-20%
- Meals and beverages at restaurants and bars
- Rendezvous diving, ASA sailing certification courses and any other offshore excursions
- Premium wines and spirits
