Glen Smith - Captain
Raised just outside of Southampton on the South Coast of England, Glen has always loved yachting and the ocean. Educated as an electrician, he began his career in the yachting industry as a Deckhand/2nd Engineer in Turkey 27 years ago. Glen advanced to Mate/Engineer on sport fishing yachts travelling extensively throughout the Bahamas and the Caribbean then became Chief Engineer on mega yachts cruising the same waters. He went on to earn his 200-ton MCA approved Captain’s license and has since captained charter as well as private use yachts in the Bahamas and Caribbean. Glen is passionate about motorcycles, is an avid sport fisherman and loves to snorkel.

Claire Dodd - Chef
Born in Bournemouth on the south coast of England, Claire was raised bilingual, in English and German. Having family throughout Europe, she began her love of travel and meeting people from an early age. Claire graduated from Plymouth University with a degree in languages and went on to gain employment in customer relations within the banking sector. Wanting a change, Claire took on the management of a B&B overlooking the historic town and castle of Corfe, situated on the English Jurassic coast. Here she also started a restaurant, catering lunches and evening meals for guests. Claire spent a few years traveling and working in a variety of hotels, bars, and restaurants in different countries around the globe before beginning her yachting career 10 years ago. Claire’s interests include art, music, and the outdoors.

Michaela LaFrance – Stewardess
Born and raised in central Massachusetts, Michaela has always dreamed of living and working on the ocean. After spending many years honing her skills as a server and bartender, she decided it was time for a new adventure. With a natural talent for hospitality and a passion for travel, Michaela was drawn to the yachting industry, where she could combine her love for meeting new people with her dedication to creating exceptional experiences. She is committed to making every guest feel at home while crafting unforgettable memories for everyone onboard. Josh Miller - Mate
Raised in Georgia, Josh grew up spending much of his vacation time in Florida. At 11 years old Josh became a SCUBA diver. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Josh heard the call of the ocean and moved to the Cayman Islands to work as a SCUBA Instructor in 2014. After a few years in the dive industry, Josh obtained a 100 ton captain/ 200 ton mate license and became a dive boat captain. Josh then worked as day charter captain on luxury catamarans for a few years before moving to South Florida in 2023 to pursue working on larger yachts. Josh is passionate about creating memorable ocean-based experiences for True North charter guests. Outside of the marine world, Josh’s interest include: outdoor activities, travel, and spending time with family.

Ben Davis – Deckhand
Born in Alabama, into a Military family, Ben has already traveled much of the world. At an early age he took up sailing. With a new-found love and enthusiasm, he convinced his local Sailing Centre to take him on as their youngest dock hand, paying him in experience and sailing lessons. Ben also discovered he had a passion for Airsoft which led him to full time employment after high school, where he quickly progresses to a senior member of the team, training others and refereeing games. His sense of adventure and love of the outdoors, coupled with his former aquatic adventures drew him to try a career in yachting. Ben was noticed and quickly picked up during his yacht training and then joined “True North” as a permanent crew member.
Ben’s other interests include: Rock climbing, water sports, fitness, strategy games and reading.
New Year's 2024/2025
We had a fantastic time on the charter. The crew was wonderful-Captain Glen was very knowledgeable, highly personable and made sure we got to each island and activity at just the right time. Chef Claire was ultra talented and oh so sweet. It was astounding how she made one spectacular meal after another and made sure each meal was extra special. What a top notch team! We loved snorkeling, feeding animals, seeing nurse sharks & hiking. Josh was fantastic in leading trips, knew tons about these areas & was great at sharing info with us. He's quite a lovely person and very talented at his job. We really enjoyed being with him. Ingrid was great at assisting him, hiked & snorkeled with us, and had such a warm & wonderful way about her. Michaela was so so sweet and very attentive to our every need. Ingrid & she provided non-stop service with a smile!

High Rate applies only to Xmas and New Year's

Preferred 7-night New Year's Dates: December 28 - January 4

10-nights over either/both Xmas/New Year @ low rate/7 x 10 nights

Med Term pricing is cost (cost of the boat) + VAT (country tax) + APA (operating and provisioning expenses). The cost is the weekly rate for the charter. The VAT and APA are calculated on the cost of the boat and paid in addition to that base price. The APA covers: fuel, water, food, licenses, alcohol, and any specific items you would like provided to you. APA money that is not used for provisioning would be reimbursed to you- or, if you spend over the amount, they would charge you. The Captain keeps track of expenses and would let you know if you’re reaching your APA limit. This is the industry standard for the region.

Caribbean Terms or Caribbean Inclusions refer to all-inclusive rates. These boats are typically catamarans and monohulls and are found in the Caribbean.

Most (but not all) motor-yachts and sailing vessels in the Med are Med Rate terms.

The yachts featured on our website will specifically state which type of pricing they offer.
