Chris grew up in a seaside town in the Western Cape of South Africa. A career on the water seemed a natural step for Chris whose first role in yachting was with a sailing academy. After completing his captain’s qualification, he conducted deliveries and worked as a bosun before joining the charter industry with his long-term partner Lida. Chris is an all-round water sports enthusiast who enjoys surfing, kite surfing and wakeboarding. He is also an experienced Dive Master who loves to spend time leading guests on tours of the underwater world.
Lida grew up in the same town as Chris and primarily worked in hospitality as a waitress, bar manager and chef before she joined him in yachting. Professionally trained in fine dining catering by the Ashburton School in the UK, Lida is an experienced chef who strives to meet her guests’ wide range culinary preferences. She enjoys sourcing quality locally grown ingredients to produce creative, great tasting, beautifully presented, well-balanced meals. Whatever style of food she is asked to prepare, Lida is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure memorable meals for all.
JD has know Chris and Lida for many years having grown up in the same seaside town. He was immersed in a life filled with fishing, kite surfing, diving, and all kinds of water sports. This upbringing fostered a deep passion and understanding of the ocean, leading him to become a professional kite surfing instructor amongst many other outdoor achievements.
His career took him into the world of hospitality operations, where he spent the past 10 years perfecting skills in hospitality operations and the culinary industry however when he a precious moment not working, you'd find him out on the trails hiking, camping under the stars, or taking on new DIY projects as a handyman. With a fun-loving spirit and a zest for life, JD is always ready for new challenges and new experiences, bringing enthusiasm and positivity to everything he does.
Chris and Lida have worked together on luxury charter yachts for the past four years in some of the most amazing destinations in the world which include the Maldives, many Caribbean islands and more recently the USVI and BVI and this year JD has chosen to join their team enhancing their amazing, fun-filled charter offering on Huntress.
They love working together as a team, easily anticipating each other’s needs, and sharing a desire to take the best possible care of guests to ensure their vacation exceeds all expectations.

How would you describe your yacht? Was the yacht comfortable and clean? Well ventilated? Sufficient Shade? Sufficient Space to relax?
The yacht was wonderful. It seemed to be in very good condition, was clean the entire time we were aboard, and had more room than we anticipated for relaxing, lounging, etc.
How would you describe your crew?
The crew was awesome! They were not only very friendly but their attentiveness exceeded our expectations. Chris did a great job recommending/executing activities and excursions and JDs drinks were superb, especially the espresso martinis :)
Was the food great and well presented? Did the menus meet your expectations? Did your crew pay attention to your preference sheets?
The food was also outstanding! Lida provided a great variety and everything she made was outstanding, especially the chocolate and peanut butter birthday cake! She definitely paid attention to the preference sheets and I know everyone in the group ate very well during our trip.
How did you find the pace and the itinerary of your charter?
We all felt like the charter had a great mix of relaxation and activities. Those of us who got to scuba dive really enjoyed the dives Chris took us on.
Additional comments about the yacht and the crew?
Our charter far exceeded our expectations. We all had such a great time thanks in large part to the crew. We would definitely recommend to anyone interested in a vacation like this and we're already talking about doing it again. Especially if we can have the same crew!

The Huntress is a great yacht. Very roomy and clean. We especially enjoyed the covered top deck, where we spent most of our time.

The crew was great. All were very friendly and attentive. Chris was a great captain. He communicated very well with us, reviewing the itinerary every day. Lida was a great chef. JD made sure we always had whatever we needed.

Lida did a great job with all the meals. The food was great and presented well. The menus met our expectations and it was clear the crew had paid attention to our preference sheets.

Having chartered last year, we were fine with a slower pace than last year. We did all the activities we had expected to do, including driving the new Miles at Anegada!

Fabulous! Lida is a very talented chef and she provided us with beautiful, fresh meals

Yes, Chris did an incredible job of presenting options and guidance each day. He

Life Changing Trip
Wow! What a fantastic 70th birthday. Every day felt like 'THE BEST DAY EVER' Why? Because of the 3 of you and my 5 friends. The food, laughs, smiles, dancing, swimming, diving, snorkeling - a trip of a lifetime.
This trip would have not been so soulful without the crew - the 3 of you are incredibly special and Huntress is so blessed to have you take care of the boat and then the guests. I will be back to create more memories - but only if the 3 of you are here.

Incredible Week!
Sailing with you was a calculated risk for us. Our family vacations have always had the same ingredients: - a hotel, a defined activity, and as the kids insisted , a breakfast buffet. A few months ago we called a family meeting to vote about a last minute idea and opportunity. sailing in the BVI's over New Year's Eve with some curiosity, uncertainty and thirst for adventure, the family unanimously voted for a week on The Huntress.
The risk paid handsomely for our family what an incredible week we had!
Your hospitality is world class and you make it seem easy. It must be difficult to operate in tight quarters, but one would never know it from your crew. We had many, many highlights but among them were: Drones over Necker Islands, the kids first tubing, feeding the tarpon, seing four planets in our night sky, reading books while onluy under wind power, and the INCREDIBLE meals! Our girls didn't even miss the breakfast buffets - high praise indeed!
The best ship is the one with the people having the most fun,and so The Huntress is the finest vessel in the ocean.

What a week! It's rare to meet two people 6 days ago that were strangers but to only feel like family now. You are greatly loved and appreciated.

The cruise was really top-notch: the boat was very well maintained, spotless.
Chris and Lida are lovely, very professional, very keen to do well and make sure everyone has a good time. We will be delighted to see them again when we return to the region!
The Best Sailors and Hosts
Our family had the trip of a lifetime on Sip Sip. We arrived by dingy to rum punches on the stern, served with a smile by Lida. Our luggage was immediately whisked away. Captain Chris took us all on a tour of the boat. The boat has a sleek and modern vibe that makes it feel like a floating, spa oasis. We slept in a queen cabin and it was the most comfortable charter bed I’ve ever slept on. The bathrooms are enormous and there is plenty of storage for a weeks worth of clothes and necessities.
Lida served up a gourmet breakfast every morning and incredible dinners each evening. Most of our lunches were spent at beach restaurants on the different islands. We had some complicated food requests on this trip and Lida made sure that my husband had the correct food for each meal and made them delicious.
Chris and Lida are expert sailors, hosts and staff (staff wrong word?). They made the vacation by offering suggestions as to locations to stop and explore and providing us with the space we needed to relax when under sail. The boat itself has many areas to spread out and read, sunbathe, or even work ( if you have to!).
The highlight for the parents and the kids were the “toys” on board. Each day we would find a place to snorkel, Sea Scooter, paddle board and dingy. We know from experience that some yacht charters charge extra for these perks but they are included on Sip Sip which is fantastic.
The BVI’s are the best family vacation destination and when you explore it on Sip Sip you’re going to make memories for a lifetime!

Best Family Vacation
We had high hopes that this trip would be a great experience - and honestly the trip exceeded anything we could have imagined.
The boat was immaculate and very comfortable, and the crew quickly felt like dear friends (shout out to Chris and Lida - twenty somethings from S. Africa who were fun and energetic - providing some of the best meals we've ever had, were engaging and so attentive to whatever we wanted to try and do, and took us to many great locations throughout the Virgin Islands). With kids from 18 to 25 - we did plenty of water sports, from tubing and wake boarding - to riding on Sea Bobs and Efoils - and were having so much fun we even booked an extra night while on board - truly the best family vacation we've ever taken.
Went Out of Their Way!
From the very beginning Chris and Lida were superb hosts to our family on our anniversary trip. Chris was attentive to our input on where we wanted to go in the BVIs and also made suggestions that were special and not stops we had otherwise considered. Lida was amazing in her delivery of three extraordinary and different meals every day along with beautiful tasty appetizers each late afternoon before amazing dinners.
We had a birthday while on board and Chris and Lida went out of their way to make that day special complete with a freshly baked birthday cake, birthday banners and music and an amazing sea bass dinner. Have already talked up the trip with a number of landlubbers back home.

Vacations can tend to have a little of variance - being away from home can make me anxious, so many things can go wrong - and who knows how these might be amplified on a boat out in the ocean. But this entire trip, I have felt like I was home. I was comfortable not just because of the care you show, or the attention to detail, but because of how immediately I trusted you all so completely and emphatically.
It is rare to be able to release, to truly let go, and to know others have everything taken care of. This week was a gift that is well and truly invaluable, beyond a service.

The most memorable family vacation!
From the moment we met Keagan and Olivia on the dock, we felt relaxed and welcomed. As our first charter, we weren’t entirely sure what to expect, and Olivia and Keagan immediately made us feel at ease. Their hospitality pervaded the entire week. By attending to each and every detail - from making sure we were comfortable, to helping with fabulous restaurant reservations and fun plans for each day, to knowing the best snorkeling spots – we could sit back, relax, and enjoy our family time.
As the captain, Keagan kept us moving forward in a timely, yet relaxed, way. His competence, expertise, and mature demeanor created a safe, trusting environment. His judgment throughout the week was impeccable. We thoroughly enjoyed his music selection too! We also appreciated Keagan taking us to sundowners and morning walks, like when we went to the sugar mill. He is easy going and naturally enters into conversations, which added value to our time together. We also appreciated learning from Keagan. His historical knowledge of the islands and help with snorkeling were great additions to our trip.
Olivia’s positive energy and warmth made each day fun. She also added so much to our conversations. Olivia’s cooking was extraordinary; the meals were beyond our expectations and her presentations were beautiful. All the food was absolutely delicious and we asked for many of Olivia’s recipes. We couldn’t believe how much hard work went into cooking three meals a day for a family of five! And Olivia made it all seem effortless. Olivia also accompanied us on snorkeling expeditions, which made us feel safer. And the card game she taught us is our new family favorite.
Most importantly, Keagan and Olivia were kind and patient with our family, particularly when our youngest son needed to go to the doctor due to a serious rash. Their amazing local network made our trip more memorable and special too. We highly recommend them to anyone hoping to charter a catamaran. We hope we have opportunities to travel with them in the future.

A Week has Never Flown By Faster
This trip has truly been one of a kind! At first I was a little nervous about spending and sharing time on a boat with 8 people but you two have made it one of the best experiences ever! Every morning felt like paradise - smelling the amazing food cooked by Olivia and the collection of laughter bellowing from the table. All of the amazing meals and the hilarious late night stories or games really tied everything together. A week has never flown by faster.

Chris grew up in a seaside town in the Western Cape of South Africa. A career on the water seemed a natural step for Chris whose first role in yachting was with a sailing academy. After completing his captain’s qualification, he conducted deliveries and worked as a bosun before joining the charter industry with his long-term partner Lida. Chris is an all-round water sports enthusiast who enjoys surfing, kite surfing and wakeboarding. He is also an experienced Dive Master who loves to spend time leading guests on tours of the underwater world.
Lida grew up in the same town as Chris and primarily worked in hospitality as a waitress, bar manager and chef before she joined him in yachting. Professionally trained in fine dining catering by the Ashburton School in the UK, Lida is an experienced chef who strives to meet her guests’ wide range culinary preferences. She enjoys sourcing quality locally grown ingredients to produce creative, great tasting, beautifully presented, well-balanced meals. Whatever style of food she is asked to prepare, Lida is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure memorable meals for all.
JD has know Chris and Lida for many years having grown up in the same seaside town. He was immersed in a life filled with fishing, kite surfing, diving, and all kinds of water sports. This upbringing fostered a deep passion and understanding of the ocean, leading him to become a professional kite surfing instructor amongst many other outdoor achievements.
His career took him into the world of hospitality operations, where he spent the past 10 years perfecting skills in hospitality operations and the culinary industry however when he a precious moment not working, you'd find him out on the trails hiking, camping under the stars, or taking on new DIY projects as a handyman. With a fun-loving spirit and a zest for life, JD is always ready for new challenges and new experiences, bringing enthusiasm and positivity to everything he does.
Chris and Lida have worked together on luxury charter yachts for the past four years in some of the most amazing destinations in the world which include the Maldives, many Caribbean islands and more recently the USVI and BVI and this year JD has chosen to join their team enhancing their amazing, fun-filled charter offering on Huntress.

The yacht was wonderful. It seemed to be in very good condition, was clean the entire time we were aboard, and had more room than we anticipated for relaxing, lounging, etc.
How would you describe your crew?
The crew was awesome! They were not only very friendly but their attentiveness exceeded our expectations. Chris did a great job recommending/executing activities and excursions and JDs drinks were superb, especially the espresso martinis :)
Was the food great and well presented? Did the menus meet your expectations? Did your crew pay attention to your preference sheets?
The food was also outstanding! Lida provided a great variety and everything she made was outstanding, especially the chocolate and peanut butter birthday cake! She definitely paid attention to the preference sheets and I know everyone in the group ate very well during our trip.
How did you find the pace and the itinerary of your charter?
We all felt like the charter had a great mix of relaxation and activities. Those of us who got to scuba dive really enjoyed the dives Chris took us on.
Additional comments about the yacht and the crew?
Our charter far exceeded our expectations. We all had such a great time thanks in large part to the crew. We would definitely recommend to anyone interested in a vacation like this and we're already talking about doing it again. Especially if we can have the same crew!

The Huntress is a great yacht. Very roomy and clean. We especially enjoyed the covered top deck, where we spent most of our time.

The crew was great. All were very friendly and attentive. Chris was a great captain. He communicated very well with us, reviewing the itinerary every day. Lida was a great chef. JD made sure we always had whatever we needed.

Lida did a great job with all the meals. The food was great and presented well. The menus met our expectations and it was clear the crew had paid attention to our preference sheets.

Having chartered last year, we were fine with a slower pace than last year. We did all the activities we had expected to do, including driving the new Miles at Anegada!

The BVI islands are so beautiful by catamaran. I highly recommend sailing on The Huntress. We look forward to sailing with them again in the future.

Incredible Week!
Sailing with you was a calculated risk for us. Our family vacations have always had the same ingredients: - a hotel, a defined activity, and as the kids insisted , a breakfast buffet. A few months ago we called a family meeting to vote about a last minute idea and opportunity. sailing in the BVI's over New Year's Eve with some curiosity, uncertainty and thirst for adventure, the family unanimously voted for a week on The Huntress.
The risk paid handsomely for our family what an incredible week we had!
Your hospitality is world class and you make it seem easy. It must be difficult to operate in tight quarters, but one would never know it from your crew. We had many, many highlights but among them were: Drones over Necker Islands, the kids first tubing, feeding the tarpon, seing four planets in our night sky, reading books while onluy under wind power, and the INCREDIBLE meals! Our girls didn't even miss the breakfast buffets - high praise indeed!
The best ship is the one with the people having the most fun,and so The Huntress is the finest vessel in the ocean.

The cruise was really top-notch: the boat was very well maintained, spotless.
Chris and Lida are lovely, very professional, very keen to do well and make sure everyone has a good time. We will be delighted to see them again when we return to the region!
The Best Sailors and Hosts
Our family had the trip of a lifetime on Sip Sip. We arrived by dingy to rum punches on the stern, served with a smile by Lida. Our luggage was immediately whisked away. Captain Chris took us all on a tour of the boat. The boat has a sleek and modern vibe that makes it feel like a floating, spa oasis. We slept in a queen cabin and it was the most comfortable charter bed I’ve ever slept on. The bathrooms are enormous and there is plenty of storage for a weeks worth of clothes and necessities.
Lida served up a gourmet breakfast every morning and incredible dinners each evening. Most of our lunches were spent at beach restaurants on the different islands. We had some complicated food requests on this trip and Lida made sure that my husband had the correct food for each meal and made them delicious.
Chris and Lida are expert sailors, hosts and staff (staff wrong word?). They made the vacation by offering suggestions as to locations to stop and explore and providing us with the space we needed to relax when under sail. The boat itself has many areas to spread out and read, sunbathe, or even work ( if you have to!).
The highlight for the parents and the kids were the “toys” on board. Each day we would find a place to snorkel, Sea Scooter, paddle board and dingy. We know from experience that some yacht charters charge extra for these perks but they are included on Sip Sip which is fantastic.
The BVI’s are the best family vacation destination and when you explore it on Sip Sip you’re going to make memories for a lifetime!

Best Family Vacation
We had high hopes that this trip would be a great experience - and honestly the trip exceeded anything we could have imagined.
The boat was immaculate and very comfortable, and the crew quickly felt like dear friends (shout out to Chris and Lida - twenty somethings from S. Africa who were fun and energetic - providing some of the best meals we've ever had, were engaging and so attentive to whatever we wanted to try and do, and took us to many great locations throughout the Virgin Islands). With kids from 18 to 25 - we did plenty of water sports, from tubing and wake boarding - to riding on Sea Bobs and Efoils - and were having so much fun we even booked an extra night while on board - truly the best family vacation we've ever taken.
Went Out of Their Way!
From the very beginning Chris and Lida were superb hosts to our family on our anniversary trip. Chris was attentive to our input on where we wanted to go in the BVIs and also made suggestions that were special and not stops we had otherwise considered. Lida was amazing in her delivery of three extraordinary and different meals every day along with beautiful tasty appetizers each late afternoon before amazing dinners.
We had a birthday while on board and Chris and Lida went out of their way to make that day special complete with a freshly baked birthday cake, birthday banners and music and an amazing sea bass dinner. Have already talked up the trip with a number of landlubbers back home.

This Week Was A Gift!!!!
Vacations can tend to have a little of variance - being away from home can make me anxious, so many things can go wrong - and who knows how these might be amplified on a boat out in the ocean. But this entire trip, I have felt like I was home. I was comfortable not just because of the care you show, or the attention to detail, but because of how immediately I trusted you all so completely and emphatically.
It is rare to be able to release, to truly let go, and to know others have everything taken care of. This week was a gift that is well and truly invaluable, beyond a service.

This trip has ruined every other vacation I could take.

Olivia, Keagan, and Haley, you three are the dynamic trio. You guys played games with us, made amazing food and smoothies, and picked amazing spots to stay for our trip! This was a vacation I could never forget and you three made it possible.
On this boat I grew closer to family and to the crew members. This vacation felt like something more than a vacation, it felt like having a big family. Thank you guys so much, see you in the future Huntress!

Perfect Week in Paradise
Thank you so much Keagan, Olivia, and Haley! We’ve had a wonderful week. The time truly goes by so fast, yet, every moment is cemented as a memory for life. You have all been an integral part of those memories and we’ll forever carry the three of you in our hearts.
Keagan, you’re an amazing captain of the sea, and we loved the path you set forth for us and the stories you shared and all the conversations as we sailed. Olivia, your food is not only delicious but beautiful works of art that were picture worthy every time! Complimented of course with Haley’s creative and beautiful table settings.
Last but surely not least is the ever “sunny” Haley. Always ready with a smile and a happy demeanor, making sure everyone is set with drinks, an organized space, or anything that would make everyone their happiest. You were a complete joy to have join us for whatever we were doing.

Wonderful Time

Incredible Trip
Thank you for an incredible trip! Olivia is so talented in the kitchen. So many wonderful meals, it is hard to pick a favorite. We saw so many incredible fish and enjoyed a number of beach bars. I will miss all of you when I go back to reality.

The most memorable family vacation!
From the moment we met Keagan and Olivia on the dock, we felt relaxed and welcomed. As our first charter, we weren’t entirely sure what to expect, and Olivia and Keagan immediately made us feel at ease. Their hospitality pervaded the entire week. By attending to each and every detail - from making sure we were comfortable, to helping with fabulous restaurant reservations and fun plans for each day, to knowing the best snorkeling spots – we could sit back, relax, and enjoy our family time.
As the captain, Keagan kept us moving forward in a timely, yet relaxed, way. His competence, expertise, and mature demeanor created a safe, trusting environment. His judgment throughout the week was impeccable. We thoroughly enjoyed his music selection too! We also appreciated Keagan taking us to sundowners and morning walks, like when we went to the sugar mill. He is easy going and naturally enters into conversations, which added value to our time together. We also appreciated learning from Keagan. His historical knowledge of the islands and help with snorkeling were great additions to our trip.
Olivia’s positive energy and warmth made each day fun. She also added so much to our conversations. Olivia’s cooking was extraordinary; the meals were beyond our expectations and her presentations were beautiful. All the food was absolutely delicious and we asked for many of Olivia’s recipes. We couldn’t believe how much hard work went into cooking three meals a day for a family of five! And Olivia made it all seem effortless. Olivia also accompanied us on snorkeling expeditions, which made us feel safer. And the card game she taught us is our new family favorite.
Most importantly, Keagan and Olivia were kind and patient with our family, particularly when our youngest son needed to go to the doctor due to a serious rash. Their amazing local network made our trip more memorable and special too. We highly recommend them to anyone hoping to charter a catamaran. We hope we have opportunities to travel with them in the future.

A Week has Never Flown By Faster
This trip has truly been one of a kind! At first I was a little nervous about spending and sharing time on a boat with 8 people but you two have made it one of the best experiences ever! Every morning felt like paradise - smelling the amazing food cooked by Olivia and the collection of laughter bellowing from the table. All of the amazing meals and the hilarious late night stories or games really tied everything together. A week has never flown by faster.

What is included in a All Inclusive Charter? What Is NOT Included?

- Snorkeling equipment, fishing gear, kayaks, dingy tender with outboard motors

- Reputable and licensed crew who have local knowledge of waters and are able to adjust menus based on guest’s preferences and dietary restrictions
