Captain
Sebastien Leclerc

Sail and Work Experience
A highly experienced captain with over 30 years at sea, commanding both sailing and motor yachts up to 25 meters for private and charter use. He has completed multiple transatlantic deliveries and led luxury charters across the Caribbean aboard vessels such as MV FRENCH WEST (Lagoon Powercat 78’) and SY LADY ALLIAURA (Privilege Catamaran 75’). In addition to his time at sea, he has worked as a project manager for yachts up to 90m, overseeing refits, maintenance, and technical upgrades for companies like IMM and Turquoise Yachting.

Job Description
The Captain is responsible for the overall operation, safety, and management of the yacht. This includes navigating the vessel, supervising the crew, maintaining technical systems, and ensuring compliance with maritime regulations. He liaises directly with owners, charter brokers, and shipyards, oversees guest services during charters, and manages budgeting and maintenance schedules. The Captain also fosters a culture of teamwork and professionalism among the crew while ensuring the highest standards of service and vessel upkeep.

Rates are Plus Expenses
High season (Christmas and New Year) --> 85,000€/week + 30% APA
Low season (rest of winter months) --> 70,000€/week + 30% APA

30% APA

• High season: One-week minimum.
• 5-day charters: Available upon request, depending on the yacht's schedule
• Charters of less than 5 days may be accepted for last-minute inquiries, subject to the yacht’s availability.

Med Term pricing is cost (cost of the boat) + VAT (country tax) + APA (operating and provisioning expenses). The cost is the weekly rate for the charter. The VAT and APA are calculated on the cost of the boat and paid in addition to that base price. The APA covers: fuel, water, food, licenses, alcohol, and any specific items you would like provided to you. APA money that is not used for provisioning would be reimbursed to you- or, if you spend over the amount, they would charge you. The Captain keeps track of expenses and would let you know if you’re reaching your APA limit. This is the industry standard for the region.

Caribbean Terms or Caribbean Inclusions refer to all-inclusive rates. These boats are typically catamarans and monohulls and are found in the Caribbean.

Most (but not all) motor-yachts and sailing vessels in the Med are Med Rate terms.

The yachts featured on our website will specifically state which type of pricing they offer.
