Alora Yacht Charter | 49-Foot Bali Catamaran in the BVI
Step aboard Alora, a 2024 Bali sailing catamaran offering contemporary comfort, generous social spaces, and relaxed island living in the British Virgin Islands. Designed for up to six guests and operated by a professional crew of two, this 49-foot yacht is an inviting choice for couples, families, and small groups.
With three ensuite queen cabins, customizable dining, Starlink connectivity, and an enjoyable collection of water toys, Alora balances laid-back relaxation with days filled with Caribbean adventure.
Open-Plan Living
Alora’s 26-foot beam and open design provide abundant space for six guests. The bright salon creates a comfortable setting for dining, conversation, and relaxation, while the yacht’s layout encourages an easy flow between the interior and exterior gathering areas.
Guests can enjoy a salon television, device connectivity, and a Fusion three-zone Bluetooth sound system. The galley includes a full-sized refrigerator, coffee and espresso maker, and the equipment needed for the chef to prepare customized meals throughout the charter.
Full air conditioning is available throughout the yacht, including overnight.
Accommodations for Six Guests
Alora accommodates six guests in three queen cabins. Two spacious primary suites give couples traveling together comparable comfort, while the third queen stateroom provides an inviting retreat for another couple or individual guest.

Each guest cabin has a private dry bathroom with an electric head, separate shower, and sink with vanity. The crew occupies the port-forward crew cabin.
Private Crew and Customized Dining
A dedicated captain and chef/first mate oversee every part of the charter experience. The captain manages navigation and itinerary planning, while the chef prepares meals around the group’s tastes and dietary preferences.
Menus are fully customizable, and the ship’s bar can be provisioned to suit guest requests. From freshly brewed espresso in the morning to dinner beneath the stars, dining aboard Alora becomes an integral part of the vacation.
Outdoor Living
Alora offers multiple places to enjoy the sunshine, sea breeze, and surrounding island views. Guests can gather for alfresco dining, relax with a cocktail, or find a quieter spot for reading and sunbathing.
A barbecue adds variety to onboard meals, while the exterior shower provides a convenient place to rinse off after swimming. Easy access to the tender and water toys helps make every stop feel effortless.

Fishing
Alora carries two trolling rods. Fishing opportunities depend on the itinerary, local regulations, permit requirements, weather, and the captain’s discretion.
Rendezvous Scuba Diving
Scuba diving may be arranged through an independent BVI dive operator. Alora does not carry an onboard compressor or complete dive inventory, so certification requirements, equipment, availability, transportation, and additional costs should be confirmed before the charter.
Entertainment and Connectivity
Starlink Wi-Fi helps guests remain connected while aboard. Entertainment amenities include a salon television, board and card games, and a Bluetooth-enabled sound system with three separate audio zones.
Eco-Conscious Comfort
Alora provides reusable water bottles and purified drinking water, helping reduce reliance on single-use plastics. Guests are encouraged to follow reef-conscious practices and help protect the beaches, reefs, and marine life of the British Virgin Islands.
Charter Policies
Smoking is permitted only from the yacht’s aft sugar scoops.
Crew gratuity is separate from the charter fee and remains at the charterer’s discretion.
Charter itineraries and water activities are subject to weather, local regulations, equipment availability, and the captain’s discretion.

CAPTAIN
Tyler Strydom
Tyler’s journey into sailing began over five years ago in the harbor of Hout Bay, South Africa, where he worked on yacht refits. This gave him a practical, hands-on understanding of boat maintenance before he moved aboard a yacht and set his course for a career at sea.
His journey then took him to Zanzibar, where he captained luxury liveaboard spearfishing charters along the raw East African coastline. Today, as a commercially endorsed RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Captain and PADI Divemaster, Tyler has extensive experience running private charters throughout both East Africa and the Caribbean. Tyler enjoys working closely with guests to personalize their vacation to their exact needs—whether that means tailoring an active itinerary filled with watersports or planning a relaxed, slow-paced getaway.
He loves helping people experience the Caribbean from a unique perspective, whether he's navigating to a secluded anchorage, finding a hidden snorkeling spot, or enjoying a sunset sail. When he's not at the helm, you'll usually find him kitesurfing, scuba diving, fishing, spearfishing, hiking or diving into the local history of the island.
CHEF
Gabriella Leatt
Originally from South Africa, Gabriella found her way into yachting through her love of hospitality, travel, and cooking. After completing a Business Degree in Brand Building and Management, she combined her passion for creating memorable guest experiences with life at sea, building a career as a Chef and First Mate throughout the Caribbean.
Gabriella enjoys creating fresh, seasonal menus inspired by the places she visits and the local ingredients she discovers along the way. She believes that some of the best holiday memories are made around the table, whether it's a relaxed beach picnic or dinner under the stars.
Outside the galley, Gabriella is also a qualified 200-hour Yoga Instructor and loves sharing her passion for wellness, alongside singing, kitesurfing, photography, and exploring local markets in search of new flavours and inspiration. Her warm personality, attention to detail, and genuine love of hosting help create a welcoming atmosphere where guests can feel completely at home.

Since we arrived at the port of Tortola, we had the pleasure of having Franky as our captain and Kate as our chef. They met all of our expectations, plus some! Every meal was delicious and there was plenty of it. Captain cocktail hour was something we looked forward to at the end of the day. Kate's food was fabulous and different very day. Franky's knowledge of the BVI area was very professional. The excursions they booked for us were over the opt! One of our favorites as the conch island. We had a vacation of a lifetime and will be returning. We highly recommend sailing on the Alora! Cam on as strangers, leaving as friends.

Paige and Rorke are truly a delight to be with, and provided a level of service well above and beyond our expectations. This has definitely been the dream trip I hoped it would be!

Rorke, as captain, displayed a high level of maturity and expertise handling the vessel. He also led our fishing adventures with great success – barracuda, a bonito, and more.
Paige is an incredible host and chef, preparing meals, snacks and drinks every day. Everyone was delighted and satisfied and full!
Together they created a warm and fun atmosphere, The four of us consider it an all – time favorite experience. We highly recommend them specifically for a terrific adventure.

Unless otherwise specified-Caribbean Standard All-Inclusive Charters include the following:
- Standard check-in/check-out of 12pm
- Light daily housekeeping
- Breakfast, lunch, canapés/afternoon tea, dinner and snacks
- Standard ship’s bar: vodka, gin, rum, whiskey, tequila, triple sec, mixers, local beers, table wine and water/coffee/tea and soft drinks
- Stereo with MP3/iPhone connection with indoor/outdoor speakers; 3G/4G Wi-Fi access point
- Snorkeling equipment, fishing gear, kayaks, dingy tender with outboard motors
- Water toys such as floating islands, and air mattresses
- Separate bathroom and living quarters for crew
- Reputable and licensed crew who have local knowledge of waters and are able to adjust menus based on guest’s preferences and dietary restrictions
- Operating expenses including: use of air conditioning, fuel, water, sailing permits/taxes, local taxes and crew wages
What Is Not Included in Standard All-Inclusive Charters:
- Gratuity for crew. Gratuity is at guest discretion and is typically between 15-20%
- Meals and beverages at restaurants and bars
- Rendezvous diving, ASA sailing certification courses and any other offshore excursions
- Premium wines and spirits

SAINT MARTIN / SAINT BARTHS RELOCATION FEE:
Minimum 48 hours required on either side of charter dates for boat transit (in addition to normal turnaround). Please inquire for availability and relocation fees.
