Captain Brian has been living in or on the water, for most of his life. He grew up wakeboarding, waterskiing, snowboarding, and surfing in sunny California. Growing up in Carmel-by-the-Sea, he worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor.

Brian attended California State University at Chico where he studied Recreation Administration with an emphasis on hospitality and special events. After graduation, he moved to San Diego for work and to be closer to the ocean. After a few years in corporate America, Brian decided to trade in his suits and ties for swimsuits and sandals. He sold all of his possessions, moved abroad, and decided to turn his passion for sailing into a lifelong career.

Since then, Brian has chartered a variety of sailboats and large catamarans in Croatia, Greece, Sardinia, Portugal, the Bahamas, and his personal favorite, the Caribbean. He has spent the last three seasons in the US/British Virgin Islands, and cannot think of a more beautiful place to call home. When he’s not on charter, you can find him scuba diving, sailing, or fishing somewhere around the islands.

As your captain, Brian is devoted to making sure all his guests are safe and at ease throughout the entire voyage. Brian is a PADI Dive Master with current First Aid and CPR licenses to ensure the safety and well-being of all of his guests. His expertise in the area and the local community will ensure that your trip is one that you’ll never forget.

Furthermore, he will tailor your vacation with activities as well as desired destinations that make for a once in a lifetime experience. Consider the island hopping bucket list checked off if you decided to vacation with Captain Brian.

Jessa was born in Colorado and raised in Texas, and her love for the great outdoors began at a young age. Growing up, her family took vacations to the beach every year. It wasn’t until 2017 that she decided she wanted to live and work in the tropics full time. She quit her desk job and traded in the cubicle for the galley. Jessa began her career as a yacht chef in May 2017, and she loved the yachting lifestyle so much that she spent the next three seasons working on sailing yachts in Croatia. Since then, she has traveled to four different continents, including Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and explored many of the Caribbean islands.

The USVI and BVI quickly became one of her favorite places after sailing and working here at the end of 2018, and she knew instantly that she wanted to further her career here. In 2019 she began her life in the Caribbean and has been loving every day since. She enjoys sailing, hiking, snorkeling, scuba diving, and being able to spend every day on the water!

In addition to the adventurous lifestyle Jessa lives, she loves creating beautiful and delicious meals in the galley. She grew up helping her dad in the kitchen and on the grill, always working to perfect new tex mex meals and southern comfort foods. Her family was constantly making homestyle meals and this is when her passion for cooking began. She believes that cooking is all about sharing, and being able to share unique and tasty dishes with the guests is so important to her!

One of her favorite parts about traveling is being able to experience new cultures and cuisines, and incorporating these cuisines into her own menu. Seafood is a personal favorite of Jessa's, to cook and to eat! Jessa finds it very special to be able to use the local seafood for her dishes. Onboard Felix, Jessa will ensure that your vacation is filled with wholesome, fresh, and local meals. She has experience working with all dietary restrictions and food allergies and will work with you and your group to create the perfect menu for your week.

Brian and Jessa began working together a few years ago in the Mediterranean. They are close colleagues and have proven their strength as a team. They are both outgoing, charismatic, and eager to accommodate. With their experience and knowledge of the islands, they will be able to show you the most beautiful spots in the Virgin Islands. From the moment you step onboard Felix, you will feel the positive vibes and atmosphere of relaxation. They will ensure that everything is taken care of so you and your group can go into full vacation mode!

Amazing Trip!
What an amazing trip. From the moment we landed in St. Thomas and boarded the Felix we were blown away. The Felix was beautiful, spacious, and had all the comforts of home. Every bedroom had a private bath and plenty of room to unpack. The upper deck is such a relaxing place to have coffee in the morning and the wind in your hair. The boat had every water amenity we could have imagined. From paddle boards to a kayak, to snorkel and scuba gear, it has everything. A full kitchen with which unbelievable meals were prepared, including fresh caught fish. The snorkel spots we went to were some of the best in the world. I could have never dreamed of the vacation we would experience. The Felix far exceeded my expectations. I would tell everyone to run, not walk and book a trip on the Felix. It will be a vacation you will be talking about for years. -NF
Special Vacation
Well first all, this trip was a trip of a lifetime. Such a special vacation. I kept looking around and soaking up the sights, the feelings, and the unreal, natural beauty that was all around us. Felix was so comfortable and perfect for our girls trip. The cabin was cozy but had plenty of room for clothes and personal items. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and of excellent quality. The kitchen was fully stocked for our gourmet meals that Captain Harry prepared. The meals and cocktails were phenomenal. We were spoiled every single day with the amazing meals, the scenery and the service that Captain Harry provided was unmatched. The activities the captain planned were so fun and enjoyable. The snorkeling was the best and we saw so many incredible fish as well as many sea turtles and dolphin every single day! This was one of the best most memorable vacations I’ve ever been on if not The Best! I highly recommend chartering Felix for anyone who wants a fantastic experience with the perfect balance of adventure, relaxation, service, and not to mention the best sunrises and sunsets! I can’t wait to charter this stunning boat again… it’s the kind of vacation that stays with you long after you return home. -Bobbie Dallas, Texas
Best Vacation of my Life!
My recent trip aboard the Felix was easily the best vacation of my life! The boat is perfect, with great attention to every detail. I had never been on a catamaran yacht before, and was amazed by the comfort afforded by the luxurious rooms, each with it's own private bathroom. I've been to some of the nicest hotels in the world, and I can easily say the Felix experience topped them all! The captain and chef were outstanding, guiding us to the best destinations around St. Thomas and St. Johns. There are too many spectacular places on the boat to relax or enjoy the stars at night to mention. From sunrise to sundown, we went from one great experience to another, with perfect views, crystal clear water and wonderful beaches. And hard not to include the exceptional snorkeling and fishing as highlights of the trip. I wish we could go back tomorrow. -DS
Trip of a Lifetime - July 2020
Our trip aboard Felix was the trip of a lifetime. Throughout the trip we were treated like royalty and every desire that we expressed was accommodated without question. I mentioned a drink that I enjoyed having back home and the next evening, the chef had prepared the drink that she researched on Google. She went out of her way to research how to make the drink and purchase the ingredients without being asked. That is a level of service that is rare these days. We really enjoyed the variety of activities available on the yacht. The Captain offered us a variety of activities each day. Scuba diving, snorkeling, tubing, fishing, sailing and a whole host of other options were presented and we felt that we could take advantage of whatever we wanted to do each day. I really enjoyed learning the skills required to sail a yacht of this size. Each location that we visited on our voyage was beautiful. I felt fortunate that we seemed to avoid the more crowded ports in favor of the hidden gems. We were often the only people on the beach when we pulled in to set anchor. I think we all came away with memories that will last a lifetime. I can't wait to go on my next charter on Felix! Peter Howey Gladwyne, PA
Petersen Family and Friends
Being aboard Felix is just the perfect holiday. Captain Brian sets a great vibe of confidence and chill. We casually spent our days sailing, snorkeling, hiking, diving, and drinking. Our only interruption was to sit down to an amazing meal prepared by the talented chef Jessa. We quickly believed she had psychic abilities as every meal seemed to be just what we were craving. Beautifully plated & great flavor. The weather & sea life cooperated as well, something about being on the water, every other responsibility seems to be left on land! Wonderful to say the least! - Kirsten Trip of a lifetime! Such an amazing crew that thinks of everything - even before you know you need it!!! Great memories!!! - Stacey Such an amazing trip. A perfect vacation to relax, explore, and experience the USVI. The crew was top notch and took care of all our needs & wants. - Bobbie As always an amazing trip. The Felix offered more than we could ever need. Top-notch crew and the food was amazing. Trip of a lifetime! - Nicci

Pasha and Cate's Family vacation
Captain Brian, Jessa, and Felix offered us the trip of a lifetime. For our family of six ranging in age from 13-76. Snorkeling, sailing, diving, tubing, using the screecher for the first time, fishing, hiking, rock climbing, beach exploring make the trip great for everyone. The Felix is tastefully and thoughtfully arranged as well as maintained beautifully. It was more than comfortable for all of us to stay for a week. Jessa's meals hit the spot and had the perfect proportions, worthy of a Michelin Star! We look forward to our next adventure on Felix.
