The hydraulic aft platform provides an excellent staging area for swimming, boarding the tender, and launching equipment.

E-foil users must be at least 12 years old. The yacht’s terms also specify a minimum age of seven for SeaBob use. Applicable adult or minor water-sports waivers must be completed before participation.

No alcohol may be consumed before diving or using motorized water toys. All activities remain subject to weather, equipment condition, guest experience, completed waivers, and the captain’s discretion.

Scuba Diving aboard Vela

Vela offers onboard scuba diving during BVI charters. Diving in other cruising locations is available through rendezvous operators only.

The yacht carries an onboard air compressor, 10 tanks, 14 buoyancy compensators, 10 regulators, 10 weight sets, and 10 dive lights.

Three dives are included in the charter rate for certified divers. Additional dives cost $50 per person, per dive. One night dive is listed as available, subject to conditions and captain approval.

Diving is not conducted on the first or final day of the charter. All participants must be certified and complete the required PADI medical and liability forms.

Divers over 60 must provide a valid doctor’s clearance dated within the previous 12 months. Anyone who has not dived within the last 12 months must complete a refresher before boarding.

All diving remains subject to health, certification and experience, equipment availability, weather, itinerary requirements, local regulations, professional supervision, and the captain’s discretion.

Fishing in the British Virgin Islands

Vela carries four rods and equipment suited to trolling and casting.

Fishing remains subject to BVI regulations and any applicable yacht permits or personal licensing requirements. These requirements should be confirmed before departure.

Vela cruises at approximately eight knots and can reach a maximum speed of approximately 10 knots. Every itinerary remains subject to weather, sea conditions, local requirements, and the captain’s approval.

Guest Policies and Safety

Only contracted charter guests may sail, dine, or use the yacht’s water-sports equipment. Smoking is restricted to the stern steps, and marijuana products are not permitted aboard.
